I searched thoroughly for the best colleges for BCA and I shortlisted Jain among them because of their placement records, there is a JET exam followed by an interview that candidates have to give for admission to Jain University but in my case, they asked my 12th percentage and because of my good percentage, they directly called me for the interview and 2-3 days after the interview I got the offer letter and then I paid my fees. For the fee payment, they accept full payment/year and for part payments, they have partnered with liquid loans for no cost EMI for 8 months. The college is good study but it doesn't have a good campus, it is just a building, and it feels more like a tuition class than a college.
The faculty at Jain University is quite strict and the classes are quite good, the study material is shared with the students from Google Classroom and WhatsApp groups, and the fees are above average as compared to the other colleges providing BCA courses. They have liquiloans for financial assistance, the schedule for the whole semester is given at the beginning of the semester and all activities happen almost according to the schedule, there were slight changes too. The teaching method of some teachers is interesting but not all, some teachers are boring too. They use projectors and PPTs to teach.
I have heard that placements or internships are provided in the third year and I have just cleared my second year and will be going for the third year from next month, but as heard from my seniors, the placement is average and companies do come.
There is no campus life as it is just a single building and we have to come to college for at max 4-5 hours, there are many forums available but you can only join one and there is a lot of politics inside the forums. The library is quite big and you can have almost every book you need inside the college library. Every year there is one main fest for the freshers but honestly, I don't like those fests much as they are more like the college's advertisement, there are also unofficial parties organized by the forums.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
