Likes
- The hostels since they are new and offer single room occupany (upto 2022 batch).
- The professors are approachable and friendly (most of them)
Dislikes
- The campus is located 20km from Indore and cabs will charge you 600-700 rupees to go there.
- The food provided in the mess is not very appetising but it is mandatory to subscribe to the mess :(
Remarks :
IIT Indore is a 2nd generation IIT and is not as famous as the old IITs. I chose this college because of its proximity to my home and the chance of getting a higher branch. To get admission to this college you need to clear the JEE main and JEE advanced exams and then apply through the JOSAA counselling.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because of better placement opportunities compared to branches like Mechanical, Civil, etc. The faculties are highly qualified and have obtained their PhDs from reputed foreign universities. Exams are conducted twice a semester. Additionally, the professor may conduct class tests for his/her course at their discretion. Once you take admission, the fee will remain constant for you throughout your course. So don't worry about any fee hike. Financial assistance is provided to SC/ST students and also to those whose family income is low. 66% scholarship if your income is below 8LPA 100% scholarship if your income is below 1LPA
Internships Opportunities :
Many companies offer internships during the 3rd year. Software: Quadeye- 3 lakh per month Goldman Sachs, Oracle - 1.5 lakh per month Amazon, Google, Cisco - 1 lakh per month Core: Nvidia, Texas Instruments, analogue devices, etc. The stipend for core companies is around 60k per month
Placement Experience :
On-campus placements are provided to all students the process for which begins in the fourth year. The eligibility criteria for placements are decided by each company according to their requirements. Some of the reputed companies that offer placements are Google, Amazon, Nvidia, Oracle, anGoldman Sachs. The highest package this year is 90LPA offered by Quadeye a Quant trading company. Apart from software, consulting and core companies also offer packages of around 20LPA
Campus Life :
Hostels are compulsory for all students. The hostels are newly built and have free wifi. Each unit in the hostel is a Flat with 5/6 bedrooms and a common living room, kitchen and bathroom. There are many clubs in college ranging from tech clubs to sports and cultural clubs. All these clubs come under the students gymkhana which is run by the students. However, this is true only on paper as most decisions are taken by the college administration which is not very supportive of the students. The annual festival - FLUXUS is conducted in March every year and has hosted famous artists like Honey Singh, Vishal Shekhar, etc

Placement Experience :
A good amount of companies come in college for recruitment. Some of them are giants. Don't know exact figures but as of now i think placements needs improvement. There should be proper placement training conducted for students. There should be mock interviews prep which will help students a lot.

eligiblity criteriea for placements is cgpa above 7 and no backlogs, there many recuriters come for campus placement in college such as Amazon, Microsoft, Texus Ints. , Goldman Sachs,Paypal and many more.Highest package is 82lpa and avrage package is 16lpa offered by company.Approx 60 - 70 percent students are getting there placements.my plans after degree is to take placement offer, and do job for expirence and prepare for CAT exam.

Placement and job opportunity is good in this college around 60% placed before start of 7th semester and 90% placed till end of 8th semester. Various company like Amazon , tcs , infosys , etc visit the campus. Highest package till now is 44 lpa and average is 6.5 lpa

The placement is quite quite good as year on years recently the placement was goes 57LPA to 75LPA and teh avg was 7-8LPA and median is 10LPA something. The college have 100% placement record every year and they also give grants and loans for students who wants to startup. But the internship support is zero like college are only focused on placement they are not foucing on internship.

I would like to say there are more job openings and internship programmes we had than a private college for both Graduates and Masters students. job openings in TCS/ banks and industries too. The thing is you need to put effort to grab a good opportunity. attain placements opening whenever you got notification from college groups. be prepared. ask your teacher to clear more doubts. However, I am the one who already had a job so I did not take from there because I was working in tech mahindra and its work from home in my favourate feild.

There's a good amount of placement opportunities but the only minus point is the Training and placement department is same for the other branches of this college such as Lakshmi Naraine college of Technology and science bhopal
MBBS a rollercoaster ????

MBBS is concerned there is no issue with placement. As none of the doctors are jobless. And obviously placements are good one can work in well esteemed organization after just MBBS but more people prefer to opt PG course.
