Likes
- The infrastructure is the best, everything is well connected. Internet facilities and plus the washrooms are really clean and maintained. Water dispenser are available everywhere and the security is great which makes us feel safe and comfortable. The sports complex is one of the best places with dance studio, yoga studio and the multipurpose hall make things more accessible. The sand beach volleyball, fressbee ground, swimming pool are some of the best things that the campus has to offer.
- All the faculty who have taught us are stalwarts in their field, they have accomplishments which goes beyond their work. Plus the program such as friends of YIF, YIF HAAT, workshops, meet up, crossover series brings in people who have really created a name for themselves in the field and learning from them gives great joy.
Dislikes
- Many labs and archive sections are not available they should be made available so that the students can enjoy the most out of it. The mess is just three floors and the serving section is quiet small sometimes we find long lines of people waiting to get food
- The auditorium Reddys is not at all a good auditorium it does not have depth of stage. There is no backstage. Ashoka probably needs a better auditorium. The football field is also quiet small and needs to have better seating facilities for the players and the spectators enjoying the match
Remarks :
The excellent faculty, placement cell and the around about education that the course provides with a taste of everything was something that drew me into the course and the university. It has excellent student support systems such as the ACWB, Center for Entrepreneurship and CSGS. These centres highlight the importance of the liberal education that Ashoka as an institution is providing. With that, the financial aid that the university provides enhances the overall experience by bringing in students from various backgrounds and making the classroom much more enriching. The Young India fellowship has various courses such as Advance group dynamics, Public policy, Visual storytelling and cinematic Narratives, Shakespeare and the world, Khayal and the Trajectory of Hindustani classical music, such courses which are not provided by any institution across the Indian subcontinent. The course structure and the format make the pedagogy interesting and very student-friendly.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The courses taught in the program are nowhere to be found in any college. Urvashi Butalia’s Women Society and Changing India, Prof Mukherjee’s Reasons and Makers of Modern India, Prk Shiv kumar’s Economics course, and Prof Dwight's Foundations of Leadership all make things very interesting giving a touch of sociology, literature, economics, statistics and various other learning. Every class has a TA present who helps in the smooth functioning of the class, who is always available to make learning easier and clear doubts. The fees are a little higher but it gives aid and support to the ones who need it. The support of financial aid and education loans makes it very accessible for students to study at Ashoka. Alongside this course, larger commitments such as the Critical Writing Program and Engagement and learning Module will shape the overall thinking and also give real work experience.
Internships Opportunities :
ELM worked with Qglue pvt Ltd, as a consultant for their higher education program on Design your Life. Understanding the market, creating a niche and finding possible contacts for the development and growth of the course. Developed an audio story for Zubaan Projects under no space for work
Placement Experience :
My course is a 100 % placement course with the CDO (career development office) helping students get a place which comes with mock interview and test preparation. In the year the placement cell works hand in hand and then there is no particular placement week. The highest package is 34 LPA, and most job sector are consulting jobs. Apart from this jobs in social and development sectors are also available. Students aspiring of higher education are also encouraged by the CWC which helps with essays, funding and other opportunities.
Campus Life :
The university has a very accessible campus not only for Normal students but also for physically challenged ones. The center for learning and engagement makes living on the campus better. The library is top-notch with excellent online sources and the library facilit would encourage anyone to be in it for longer hours. The residence life office has made a great impact in living with laundry services, room cleaning services which in a call or a message is available. The mess food is highly nutritious with the menu changing every week. Chicken and panner is available three times in a week and there are other options in which a student can enjoy good food.

The professors are highly approachable and are well versed with their subjects. Use of new innovative teaching techniques are used. Strictly follows PCI guidelines, conducting 2 sessional exams followed by final semester exam.

You're eligible for job if you're in your final year and not have any backlog in any subjects of the previous semesters then you can participates in the placement drive cells happens every year , the highest package was about 4 lakh and the average package was 1 lakh 50 thousand and about 60-70 percent students were placed

You have to be in the last semester to receive placemnet offers. There is no explicit eligibility criteria for it though. Some of the recruiters here include Manipal, Appolo, Fortis, Medanta. The highest package that i heard was 8LPA and teh average is around 4-5LPA. About 50-60% stduents acceot the placements. I personally want to be a paramedic at a top notch facility.
