Course Curriculum Overview:

I believe the course curriculum is highly competitive and extremely quantitative. The faculty is well qualified but the coursework gets too much to deal with specially in the first semester. If you survive that, things ease down gradually.

Placement Experience:

the internship and placement assistant is good. career development office works hard to bring the best firms for hiring. A lot depends on how good is your profile because there is actual competition here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses taught in the program are nowhere to be found in any college. Urvashi Butalia’s Women Society and Changing India, Prof Mukherjee’s Reasons and Makers of Modern India, Prk Shiv kumar’s Economics course, and Prof Dwight's Foundations of Leadership all make things very interesting giving a touch of sociology, literature, economics, statistics and various other learning. Every class has a TA present who helps in the smooth functioning of the class, who is always available to make learning easier and clear doubts. The fees are a little higher but it gives aid and support to the ones who need it. The support of financial aid and education loans makes it very accessible for students to study at Ashoka. Alongside this course, larger commitments such as the Critical Writing Program and Engagement and learning Module will shape the overall thinking and also give real work experience.

Placement Experience:

My course is a 100 % placement course with the CDO (career development office) helping students get a place which comes with mock interview and test preparation. In the year the placement cell works hand in hand and then there is no particular placement week. The highest package is 34 LPA, and most job sector are consulting jobs. Apart from this jobs in social and development sectors are also available. Students aspiring of higher education are also encouraged by the CWC which helps with essays, funding and other opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am majoring in Computer Science, but apart from the CS courses, I have to take 9 mandatory Foundation Courses (FC). These FCs are supposed to give the students exposure to every field before they declare their major, and I chose Computer Science. The faculty is from renowned institutions like MIT, IITD, IITKGP, etc. and the teaching method is also a bit different; the classes are very interactive, in a way that it feels like a conversation between the instructor and the students. Exams are held throughout the semester and not just in the middle or the end, so the students have to study all the way and just studying one day before the exam would not fetch you very good grades. The difficulty level of these exams is generally on the higher side but the grading of most of these courses is relative so it's not unfair in any way. The cost is also on the higher level but there are numerous scholarships and financial aid available as well to make sure things are accessible to all.

Placement Experience:

Companies like EY, Deloitte, and Accenture visit Ashoka University every year to recruit from the graduating student body. You need to complete the 9 FCs all the major/minor courses and the required number of credits before you can graduate from here. Many students go for higher studies instead of sitting in the placements and I hear a lot of people going to Ivy Leagues as well. I plan on going to a good grad school abroad after graduating from Ashoka University and continuing my higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is a compulsory exposure to 14 arts disciplines in the 1st semester post which an informed decision can be made on choosing major of choice The curriculum was at par to Ivy League academic material, teaching, and testing pattern. Access to sophisticated academic platforms were given by the university the Faculty were for Ivy league schools and were all PhDs, very experienced with in depth knowledge and approach in imparting knowledge Examinations were in different forms most conducive and suitable for the particular subject and conducted with the inclusive participation of the students on when would be the most optimal time to be tested I received a 50% scholarship on tuition fee and residence based on merit and financial background There was no unreasonable fee hikes during my tenure, and any such decisions were made based on democratic consent of all students and parents. Voting and opinion forums were opened up in such occasions

Placement Experience:

Ashoka is tied up with several fortune 500s and various socially responsible startups which are well-backed up Unlike end-of semester placements, opportunities keep pouring in around the year and students are encouraged to take up internships at their convenience, and supported with academic flexibility if need be Ashoka offers an exchange program with Ivy leagues abroad BCG, Mnkinsey, Bain, BBC, News18 etc., are some tie-up names

Course Curriculum Overview:

The fee structure is completely need-blind- that is- you pay as much as you can. Families earning less than 12 LPA have a complete 100% fee waiver, and families earning 12-20 LPA pay 2-3 LPA and so on. People earning over 50LPA pay a corresponding 12LPA. The faculty is world-class, no- seriously, almost every professor has their own Wikipedia page, and many of them are celebrities in their respective domains. Just ask any student studying there.

Placement Experience:

The placements are decent but still have a way to go to compete with the ones likes of IITs, IIMs, BITS, IIITs, NITs, etc. It's still better than DU, Amity, VIT, Amrita, SRM, and on par with Thapar. Hopefully with increase over the next few years since the numbers have increased exponentially, over the last three years.
