Placement Experience:

the internship and placement assistant is good. career development office works hard to bring the best firms for hiring. A lot depends on how good is your profile because there is actual competition here.

Remarks:

the reason I chose ashoka was it's good reputation for economics. The process started with an application form that included an SOP and the application fee was rs 1000 as far as I remember. Following this, there was an online exam wherein apart from the compulsory sections, we had to attempt either maths or economics. If you clear this, you'd receive a mail for interview and then the final offer.

Placement Experience:

My course is a 100 % placement course with the CDO (career development office) helping students get a place which comes with mock interview and test preparation. In the year the placement cell works hand in hand and then there is no particular placement week. The highest package is 34 LPA, and most job sector are consulting jobs. Apart from this jobs in social and development sectors are also available. Students aspiring of higher education are also encouraged by the CWC which helps with essays, funding and other opportunities.

Remarks:

The excellent faculty, placement cell and the around about education that the course provides with a taste of everything was something that drew me into the course and the university. It has excellent student support systems such as the ACWB, Center for Entrepreneurship and CSGS. These centres highlight the importance of the liberal education that Ashoka as an institution is providing. With that, the financial aid that the university provides enhances the overall experience by bringing in students from various backgrounds and making the classroom much more enriching. The Young India fellowship has various courses such as Advance group dynamics, Public policy, Visual storytelling and cinematic Narratives, Shakespeare and the world, Khayal and the Trajectory of Hindustani classical music, such courses which are not provided by any institution across the Indian subcontinent. The course structure and the format make the pedagogy interesting and very student-friendly.

Placement Experience:

Companies like EY, Deloitte, and Accenture visit Ashoka University every year to recruit from the graduating student body. You need to complete the 9 FCs all the major/minor courses and the required number of credits before you can graduate from here. Many students go for higher studies instead of sitting in the placements and I hear a lot of people going to Ivy Leagues as well. I plan on going to a good grad school abroad after graduating from Ashoka University and continuing my higher studies.

Remarks:

The main reason for me choosing this college was its different pedagogy than other Indian Colleges. Ashoka University is a liberal arts college which means the students can choose what they want to study and choose their trajectory. I had to submit the application form which included two essays, and other things about my profile like extra curriculars, etc. After that, I got the call for a written test, which included an aptitude test and an on-the-spot essay. Post this, I got a call for an interview, after which I was offered admission to this university, so there is an overall holistic approach rather than a solely merit-based one. SAT scores are also accepted, and in that case, the better of the two is considered. Because of the holistic admission process, there is no cut-off as such. Talking to seniors on LinkedIn helped me a lot in preparing for all of this.

Placement Experience:

Ashoka is tied up with several fortune 500s and various socially responsible startups which are well-backed up Unlike end-of semester placements, opportunities keep pouring in around the year and students are encouraged to take up internships at their convenience, and supported with academic flexibility if need be Ashoka offers an exchange program with Ivy leagues abroad BCG, Mnkinsey, Bain, BBC, News18 etc., are some tie-up names

Remarks:

It is one of the best Liberal institutes in India, at par to an Ivy league The geography was a small disadvantage for me due to the isolation from civilization and lack of options The process was a submission of a comprehensive SOP and a complete portfolio of academic and extra curricular talents once shortlisted, and interview is held comprising of an aptitude test, on spot essay writing and general one-on-one interview process There is a very good merit + background based scholarship open to avail for every candidate

Placement Experience:

The placements are decent but still have a way to go to compete with the ones likes of IITs, IIMs, BITS, IIITs, NITs, etc. It's still better than DU, Amity, VIT, Amrita, SRM, and on par with Thapar. Hopefully with increase over the next few years since the numbers have increased exponentially, over the last three years.

Remarks:

My decision for picking Ashoka was based on the fact this is one of the fastest-rising, and most unique educational startups in the country. The university is based on the idea of a Liberal Arts education (for the uninitiated, it doesn't mean just a humanistic education, but rather a model focusing on an interdisciplinary and critical thinking approach) the admission was similarly via an all-around application involving application essay, extracurriculars, interview, a non-competitive aptitude test, et cetera)

Placement Experience:

There is not so high paying placements but you can reject their given placement and can do work in another company. About 80 % students get the placement. The highest package goes upto 5 lakh per annum

Remarks:

Ni interview or written exam are taken for admission . the admission process is very simple only by giving fees you can take admission in this college . This is the admission process of this college.
