If I talk about IAAN School of Mass communication, it's very good because it offers the degree of Makhanlal chaturvedi national university, which comes in the top universities in this field. Secondly the practical experience – this course is all about practical learning. There are several visits in approx 1 week there are three visits for embassy events, news channel, debate shows, ground reporting and else.
Why I choose this course? This course offers variety of option which a person can indulge in, journalism and mass communication is a broad field now a days . If you have intrest in speaking you can opt and become a anchor, a reporter. If you have intrest behind the camera you can become content writer, or you can go in print media. If you have a creative mind you can definitely go in Advertisement, public relations, radio jockey and many things. Qualification of faculty If I talk about the faculty present in this college, all the faculties are themselves working or have worked in this industry and has experience of mainly 10-35 years. Term examination comes in every 6 months , where a exam centre is allotted and you have to give exams . It's not very difficult or not very easy. Average difficulty level Scholarships will be provided by college but it depends on your grades and several other factors
I have got an internship opportunity of working in India today as a multiple media producer . The tenure or internship was of approx 3 months. I got to learn various things and industry experience there
Placement opportunities are there. In this field the initial salary package is 20-30000 per month. Recently 5 students of our college have been placed in NEWS 18 with salary package of 30000 per month
Honestly if I talk about the college campus it's not very huge but the things required for a media aspirant is enough. The campus has its own library where there are books , journals related to media and other is available. College has its own hostel above the campus. There are various students who live near the college in pg's or there flats. There are many pg's near that campus and they are quite affordable
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
