Seats in this college are allotted on the basis of merit through a counselling process which is conducted online except for the mop-up round. As this college is the oldest private college of UP and Uttarakhand, I chos it. The do of this college is that its fees are higher as compared to other colleges and the infrastructure is also not that good.
The course curriculum may benefit from updates, as exams are only held annually and more practicals could be incorporated. The difficulty level of the exams can be considered average. Although the curriculum is outdated, fees are collected yearly at a rate of 3 lakh per year. Separate hostel fees of 1 lakh for boys and 1 lakh 25 thousand for girls apply. For students in need, the college offers scholarships. The f ratio is satisfactory. Teaching methods among teachers vary but can generally be described as decent. There are a few exceptional faculty members who excel in teaching. Interaction with and approachability of teachers is commendable. Faculty members are effectively able to deliver lessons.
The Uttaranchal Ayurvedic College offers internships in its hospital, which is 2-3 km away from the college. The internship begins after 4th year. There is no stipend offered to students during the internship period.
As a whole, campus life is decent. The college organizes sports meets and cultural events, but the quality of these events is lacking. There are no clubs or social groups in the college. The hostel can accommodate two students in one room. The hostel charges are 1 lakh for boys and 1 lakh 25 thousand for girls, and the hostels are separate for boys and girls. Each room has 2 single beds, 2 study tables, 2-3 chairs, and 2 almirahs. The infrastructure of the college is not that good. The campus is also very small.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
