- The College has all necessary Amenities, it has A mess and a canteen, the college is placed in a very nice locality. Everything is around the college. It is not far the campus. Life is very good with friends. There are not a lot of restrictions at college which makes it better.
Dislikes
- Most of the equipments in labs are broken or they do not work. For example, the Mac lab has only 2 working. With windows. Some of the machineries are not up to the mark. They are very old and not latest according to the industry.
Remarks :
Nift is considered the best for fashion in india. There are two levels of examinations. First one hast CAT and GAT. second round has situation test. The cutoff is based on percentile. I had gone to design coaching institutes for the tests.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course since it is vast and has a lot of opportunities in graphics, style, photography, UI UX, Visual merchandising, space design, and set design. The faculty are talented and extremely Knowledgeable in particular fields. There are three exams per semester, midterms, End terms and Final jury. The difficulty level is moderate, the better, the work, the better, the marks. UDAAN Is the name of the scholarship provided by NIFT.
Internships Opportunities :
All students are supposed to do their internships at the end of the third year for two months which is called the summer internship and an eight weeks report has to be submitted to College. Most internships are without stying because they come in big companies. These internships are to be secured by ourselves by sending the mails and getting them approved. The college does not help in providing internships. The faculty does. The second internship that is mandatory to do is for the graduation project that comes in this last semester. That is the eighth semester, this is also to be secured by ourselves. The faculty does help sometimes.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placement is after you get the degree that is four years into College. The placements are quite decent. Almost everybody from Nift gets a placement or recruited by different companies. Job opportunities are decent. My plans after getting a degree is to either study for masters or work for a while, and then do my masters.
Campus Life :
The social life at campus is really good. There are seven student clubs, namely the cultural club, the literary and dramatic club, the environment club, the sports club, the adventure club, the Social Media club and the photography club. The name of the fest is called spectrum and it is conducted in February and March every year. the resource centre or the library is very huge and it has a vast variety of books, Research papers, documentaries and documents. Every classroom is provided with a TV with an HDMI and They are all air-conditioned. Students can opt to play sports every day. There is also an inter college Competition called converge, which is conducted in the November and December every year, where all Nift is come together and compete against each other in different activities like games and culturals. The Hostel is pretty decent. The food is decent as well. The Hostel is very affordable, and the locality has a lot of PG and flats around.

However, the number of offers is limited, and only around 40–50% of students secure campus placements. The average salary package offered ranges from ?3–4 LPA, while the highest package varies depending on the company and the student's performance. The college also encourages students to apply for paid internships, which help them gain practical industry experience and improve their technical skills

I am still in my second year, so I havent sat for placements yet. But the college starts preparing us early with coding practice, projects, aptitude training, resume building sessions, and mock interviews. FRom interacting with seniors, I have heard that students who stay consistent with their skills get good opportunities

I feel the support is there throughout the journey, the more effort you put in, the more you can benefit from these opportunities.

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

Since I am still a student I haven't gone through the final placement season yet. But from what I have seen the college starts preparing us quite early. We have regular coding sessions, aptitude training, mock interviews and resume building workshops. The placement team also shared internship opportunities whenever they are available. I feel the college is more focused on making students job ready than waiting until the final year. If you stay consistent with your coding, projects and overall skills, you will be in a much better position when placement season starts. Overall I think the college provides good support, but students also need to put in their own effort.

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.

They explain concepts in a simple way, clear doubts without any hesitation, and we are already ready to help if someone is struggling.
