The reason I had to choose this college was because I had to do a diploma in medical electronics. This was the only government college in Maharashtra which was offering this program for both boys and girls. The other college which was in Latur was only for girls. There were no group discussion, interviews or written tests at the time of admission.
The reason I chose this college was because this was the only college with a diploma in medical elections for boys and girls. The teaching faculty was well-qualified they were all good and experienced professors. The teaching method used by the professors was easy to understand and they had a very good experience in explaining the problems. The only issue was they used to hurry a lot to complete the syllabus.
The college was providing good placement offers. Basically after doing the course in the last sem there used to be a industrial visit in which you spent 6 months working on site gaining some experience. The placement was not Basically that high class but they used to have 85% placements and most of them were placed in hospitals or clinics With a LPA OF 1-2
There was not a single fest dining by the college except of farewell to the passing out batch. For getting books and journals the rules were very strict. From the project paper to project file, journal everything was to be purchased from the college store. The faculty did not accept materials which are not of the college. There were basic amenities in the from fan to light and blackboard to wooden desks.Sports and extracurricular activities were held in the college. The sports were football, cricket, volleyball, hockey. The hostel only provided you a room with a single fan and light bulb.the matress and other stuff were to be brought by you. They did not have any hostel amenities. Many of the students were forced to take a room outside or stay as a PG. Because they were no rooms available. Getting room in the college hostel was not a big achievement as the doors of the bathrooms were broken no water supply for 3 days. The toilets were used to unhygienic everytime no one used to flush.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
