My take on CMRIT
Likes
- The college environment is peaceful with all the plants and trees giving it the iconic greenery which is not very easily found in Bangalore at a crowder spot
- There are plenty of areas within the college premise for students to group up and hang out to do their college work or just have some friendly banter
Dislikes
- The amount of co curricular activities could be increased to reduce student stress
- The timings of the college could be changed as to make it more student friendly
Remarks :
The college was ranked NAAC A++ which is a very good rank for a college in Bangalore that is not autonomous. I had joined the college through COMEDK which had a higher cut-off rank when compared to KCET which was for residents of Karnataka. The admission process was taken care of online through the counseling for COMEDK during the 3 rounds, only the final admission into college was done at the campus a few days before the course started. To prepare for the rounds of counseling the student needs to keep all required documents available and make sure none of them are false or inaccurate to make the process quick and simple.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Information science and engineering was a course that had grabbed my attention after Computer science and was the department I was enrolled in, it had most of the same subjects and semesters as CSE with slight differences in the later semesters. The faculty at the college all hold at least one PhD while working towards earning their second one, even the assistant professors who teach and study while under the guidance of a senior who has been at the college for a while longer. The college conducts 3 internals per semester and a mandatory VTU finals that will be overlooked by VTU itself. Students who come from a backward region or belong to a minority caste have opportunities to avail of scholarships based on their per-semester results
Internships Opportunities :
As a student who still hasn't gotten to his third year, internship opportunities are more widely available for those who are in their 4th semester and over. Though there have been a few company's drives for internships that take place rarely for students in their lower semesters.
Placement Experience :
The college conducts semester-wise exams on programming languages to help the students in learning skills that are crucial for employees in the corporate world, the results of these tests determine whether a student is eligible to sit for any placements that a company brings to the table.
Campus Life :
The campus being located in the heart of Bangalore does not have a lot of space but it doesn't make it seem like a cramped space either We have an inter-college techno fest that takes place every semester which allows the students an opportunity to show their talents and win prizes that would normally be harder to achieve in any other scenario. The library at the college is open throughout the week unless it happens to be a national holiday when it'll be closed. The college also takes part in the VTU inter-college sports fest which allows sports-gifted students to show their skills at different venues throughout Karnataka

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

Eligibility for the placements is 7+ cgpa if you have higher cgpa higher the chances of you getting shortlisted for the interview and it will be easy for you Recuriters visited Cisco,Visa,Emerson,NetApp and many more for the internships and full time Highest package is 56 LPA and average package will be around 10 LPA for the computer science and Engineering for other branches it may vary

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
