- Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, but there is no biometric entry. Modern infrastructure with state-of-the-art facilities.
Dislikes
- They put monetary fines on students for even slightest of things. It's scary and mental pressure sometimes
- Location: Some might find the location in Ranchi less appealing compared to metropolitan cities. Also , Being a newer IIM, it might not yet have the same level of alumni network and brand recognition as older IIMs.

Factors for Choosing IIM Ranchi are Reputation and Ranking, Curriculum, Faculty, Placements, Location, Specializations, and Programs: IIM Ranchi offers a variety of programs, including its flagship MBA, Executive MBA, and PhD programs, MBA-BA, MBA --HR. Admission Process. Common Admission Test (CAT). Shortlisting for PI: Based on the CAT scores, candidates are shortlisted for the next rounds of the admission process. (I gave the CAP interview which includes 9 Baby IIMS. Then as per the interview, individual calls come from the 9 IIMS via email. The PI is typically conducted by a panel consisting of faculty members and industry experts. Questions can cover a wide range of topics, including your background, academics, work experience, current affairs, and why you want to pursue an MBA from IIM Ranchi. Focus on all three sections: QA, VARC, DILR, Regular practice with mock tests, and previous years’ papers.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty is good and highly qualified. The teaching methods are innovative and easy to understand, however, continuous learning from your side is expected. The curriculum is well-designed to cover various aspects of management education with a good mix of theoretical knowledge and practical exposure. We have 6 terms in 2 years and each term has midterm and end-term written examinations in each subject of each term we have 1-2 presentations to present in front of the class. The difficulty level depends on your preparation and understanding of the subjects, overall it's okay. There are few fee concessions for SC/ST/OBC students, complete details are provided on the website.
Internships Opportunities :
Various companies for consulting, finance, marketing, and HR come to our campus. The summer internship placement runs for around 5 months until everyone gets placed(at least 95%). I did my internship at Oxane Partners company and my role was in the FAS financial advisory department in Gurgaon. Stipend was 80000/pm . I had 2 months of internship. Also for finance big companies like Wells Fargo, JP Morgan, and American Express come. Rest all companies are mentioned in our placement report, anyone can refer to them.
Placement Experience :
As per the current market scenario, placement opportunities are fair enough good, You need to continuously work on your skills and sharpen them and keep yourself up to date with the market trends to grab better opportunities. The highest package is 6300000 which is offered by an international company Tolaram, it increases the IIM Ranchi average package which is currently 17-19 lakhs per annum. For placements, you have to be enrolled in the PGDM program of the college and sit in the placements (The companies are brought via the Placement cell of the college).
Campus Life :
The annual fest happens in January /February each year. It's a 3-day fest and also a concert happens. Life at campus is okay okay, we have to get into the college by 9.30 after that fine is there, and also entry may be denied. The library is not too huge but ya it's good enough in terms of resources. We have a gym inside the campus, A temple, also indoor games like table tennis, and chess are there. A football ground is there. 2 cycles on campus are always there, anyone can use them. Mess food quality is okay okay but good in comparison to other colleges. Mess charges are 30000 for 3 months. Books are provided by the college and it's included in our fees. We are provided with a single room in the hostel.

Placements are the main reason people come here. For Electrical, big players like Tata Steel, JSW, and Vedanta are regulars. The average package stays around ?7–8 LPA, while the highest can go up to ?15–20 LPA for core branches. You become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. I’m planning to sit for GATE as well, as many seniors here aim for PSUs. For internships, the college helps with vocational training in places like DVC or HURL, though paid internships are something you usually have to hunt for yourself on LinkedIn.

You have to at least maintain 7CGA for sitting in placement season company like Wipro Infosys come here placement season. Average package of BBA is 4.5 lakhs. Almost 80% Student are placed through campus placement. My plan after getting degree pursuing MBA

College give only about 30% placement and there is very few companies or hospitals which are visited to the college for the employees. You have to do it with yourself when you are go to the internship. The highest and average package as I see is about 30,000 per month and maximum to 50,000 per month And I saw that student who top is maximum getting chance for the placement which is rare .
Netaji Subhas University is best for engineering in low fee and for who is already doing job

You have to not active backlog in any subject. 8+ cgpa perefer first then below 8+. Eternal achievers, infinite solution, paul tech like local jamshedpur it company visit for placement. 80% students placed from our university. I will look for higher education.

I don't have any specific information about placements because I am still studying, but some seniors have got jobs which tells me that everything is fine. There are some seniors who work in Tata Motors and DRDO with good payments.

The intern is provided for training in nearby schools in 3rd semester. It is unpaid internship basically done under the curriculum.It is compulsory for the students to complete this teacher's training to get the B.ed degree. There is no such placement opportunities You have to go off campus to get placed in any school.

There is no campus placement in this college, so we have to plan our own jobs or internships after completing the course. Eligibility criteria for jobs depends on companies, mostly they ask for basic knowledge and skills related to the course. Some students do internships on their own in local companies or online. Since there is no official placement, there are no recruiters, packages or offers from college. Around 0% students get placement from college itself. My plan after degree is to prepare for government jobs and also apply for some private jobs related to my field. Overall, college is good for learning, but for placements you have to work on your own

"Placements in my college are slowly improving but still not at the level of top engineering colleges. Some companies visit every year but the number of offers is limited. Students who have good skills and prepare on their own get opportunities easily. The eligibility for sitting in placements is usually 6.0 CGPA and no major backlogs. Recruiters like small IT companies, training firms and a few core-related companies have visited. The highest package was around 6–7 LPA and the average stays near 3 LPA depending on the branch. Around 25–35% students get placed from campus and others go for off-campus drives. Internships are mostly arranged by students themselves through online platforms. After completing my degree, I plan to prepare for off-campus jobs and also improve my technical skills to get a better job in company or in government job
Expensive college with mediocre placements
Placement Experience :
Placements are mediocre in my branch ece. Last year 60-70 percent students are placed. Average package is 13lpa approx and highest in my branch was 58lpa. Core companies like NXP come for placement. Tech companies like foipkart, meesho, visa, goldman sachs come for placement.
