Likes
- The campus is green, so it really gives out good vibes whenever you go out for a walk or for classes, there are many canteens which offer tasty snacks. It has big playground for you to play sports.
- The hostels provide pretty decent internet connection through lan cables, which is high speed. There is a lake in the corner of the college where you can sit and have a peaceful time.
- The college professor are mostly really helpful and very qualified. in classrooms you have Aur conditioners, so you don't need to worry about sweating in the summers in classrooms
Dislikes
- It doesn't have proper sports facilities for every sport.
- The food on the hostel messes are just unbearable sometimes, they are bearable at most of the times but many times we go out to eat to avoid hostel food.
- Also, both summers are winters are pretty bad here, so beware of that :)
Remarks :
I got into NIT KURUKSHETRA through the Josaa counseling process. The JEE RANK cutoff required to opt for computer science here is around 10K-11K for the state quota and 7K-8K for other states. It was among the top 10 NITs up until 2023. Even if you are unable to clear the cutoff in Josaa rounds, you might still have a chance in CSAB rounds which are conducted after the Josaa rounds, in CSAB rounds, the seats that are still left over in the colleges which are generally 1-5 are given away in CSAB rounds, although if you get a seat in CSAB rounds you lose the previous seat allotted in JOSAA rounds.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose computer science because obviously, it gets you the most placements, but you have to have enough interest in coding to do well in this course here, I have seen people struggle in IT and CS branches because they just couldn't build their interest in the course over time, so beware of that. But talking about the course it is a pretty solid curriculum that starts with the basics of programming and gradually increases the level. So even if you have no experience in programming you will not find it much difficult to cope with, but you still have to be willing to build your interest in programming. Coming to the exams, we have a semester of around 4-5 months, with 2 mid-term exams of 20 marks each and a 40 marks end exam. The level of the exam depends on the professor in charge but you can expect all easy, medium, and difficult types of question papers at any time. For four years, the whole course costs you around 8-9 lakhs including tuition fees and hostel fees.
Placement Experience :
Until 2023, this college offered pretty decent placements for all the branches and as for CS and IT branches it was around 20 lakhs per annum, but due to the recession the placement stats have taken a hit in all the colleges, every college has been affecting by it, so I suggest you do not look too much towards the placement stats for 2024 but you can find it on the official site. As per my knowledge, only 50% of students got placed this year in this college.
Campus Life :
Campus life is not as exciting as you would expect from a college, i think for fest experience Chandigarh and Delhi are the best places to go, but here they conduct fests I'm every 3 months but they aren't as exciting but with the right friends you still might enjoy your time in fests, the campus is full of greenery and is neat and clean. There are 6-7 canteens with different types of food and all of them offer tasty snacking, you can also find juice shops. As for the clubs and societies, there is a club or society for almost everything you are interested in here drama, music, dance, astronomy, mechanics, AI, almost everything, so you will have a great time in these clubs and societies if you are looking for some extracurricular activities. Talking about Hostels, for the first year you will probably have a Triple sharing or Double sharing room, every floor has a washroom in the corner which is common for the residents of the floor. Bathrooms mostly stink but hostels are clean.

You're eligible for job if you're in your final year and not have any backlog in any subjects of the previous semesters then you can participates in the placement drive cells happens every year , the highest package was about 4 lakh and the average package was 1 lakh 50 thousand and about 60-70 percent students were placed

Best EMT College in Delhi-NCR

You have to be in the last semester to receive placemnet offers. There is no explicit eligibility criteria for it though. Some of the recruiters here include Manipal, Appolo, Fortis, Medanta. The highest package that i heard was 8LPA and teh average is around 4-5LPA. About 50-60% stduents acceot the placements. I personally want to be a paramedic at a top notch facility.
