Is Yuvarajas worth the Reputation.

- The only thing I liked about the college was due it’s reputation you can easily get a job outside just because you have yuvarajas college degree certificate, and it’s an advantage and also a disadvantage on its own.
- Another thing , marks are allotted liberally even if you perform average in the exams as it is a autonomous college and every single marks is in management’s hands.
Dislikes
- There are many things to dislike about this college, quality of courses are average, faculties are well qualified but lack skill of teaching, infrastructure is average and learning atmosphere is not good.
- For the students who are planning to join this college just for its reputation and to learn something please avoid this college, there are many good options to choose other than this college.
Remarks :
Being in Mysore we didn’t have many good options and opportunities to take up the course we liked, I was looking for BE in a good college but due to a bad CET ranking I had to go to BCA, due to a factor that I had good marks in my PUC I was a little sure that I could get my BCA in Yuvaraajas college, And one of the main reasons I choose Yuvaraajas was because it was the most reputed college in Mysore considering for BCS and BCA courses, so I and my family decided that I will do BCA, there were many other aspects also considering that the college was a direct constituent autonomous college of university of Mysore, and it had its advantages of its own. Also, people who have graduated from the college are in and have become great personalities over the college was established by his highness Naalwadi Krishnaraaja Wadiyar and now is a government-aided college which is half govt and Half private, if you join this college you get a scholarship if you are eligible In any way.
Course Curriculum Overview :
courses offered here are more than 24, and BCA is also one of it, comes under the Department of Computer Science and the faculty who handle computer science for BSC students also handle classes for us, considering about the faculty, due to the reason many lectures are government-appointed they don’t care about students if the principal at that time was good the faculty would teach seriously or else it’s just over the book if you are planning to join the college to learn something this college is not for you, only the lecturers who are on basis of contract teach you a bit seriously and only a few and selected faculty will help you or you just have to find your way, telling about the syllabus, it’s too old and dry, we couldn’t learn new things, considering the fees it’s good and affordable, for SC and ST students if you have merit and low income the fees were 250 rs but it the full fees was claimed from their scholarship. Please think about all these before joining this college.
Placement Experience :
Placements till 2022 were average and after that, no placement drives happened till we completed the course for the name's sake there is a placement cell that is inactive all the time, but somehow I could attend a pool campus placement in another college and got an offer but I rejected it to pursue my higher studies. There will be no support from the college or faculty of any type for your placements or internships. Either you have to find your way or someone from outside should show you a way, for any student to pursue any type of internship the college won’t allow it as even in the final sem you have a major project and 5 subjects for the exam due to which you will still have regular classes and if you focus on internships you can lose marks but if you can manage it even in the schedule you can, I didn’t get any internship, but my friend managed to get a night shift internship. If you get an attendance shortage in any subject you get attendance if you submit the internship certificate.
Campus Life :
The college is a tier 3 college in Mysore and students here are good in academics students join due to its reputation, you get a mixed student life and campus life, but it’s crucial considering it teaches you life values more than the academics, this college consists students from abroad and we also had a student from Omen, students here come from different background and culture, so you will get many friends of many backgrounds this teaches you how to think from different aspects. Telling about campus life the infrastructure is lower than average but not bad, infrastructure needs improvement and focus, management needs to focus on improving the environment for students to thrive and improve in their learning and studies. Washroom facilities are too bad and are cleaned rarely, considering the clubs in college no clubs and any activities are going on in the college, and didn’t opt for the hostel as I was a local, but based on my friend review the hostel facility is also not good.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
