The first thing to choose this college was the location of the college.it is situated in the exact centre of the Mangalore city. Easily accessible from the railway station, bus stand, as well as airport compared to other colleges. For me, it was convenient to take home near the college and easy availability of malls, restaurants, theaters, and hospitals. Location was even convenient for daily scholars as well. The second point was the reputation of the college itself. It was established in the year 1993 in the city of Mangalore. The third point was college ha its own medical college facility which will improve the clinical exposure Fourth was fee structure which was affordable I didn't have any interviews before joining the college, but they gave me a detailed explanation of the syllabus and opportunities as well as college facilities.
One of my friends told me about this course which was not familiar to me at that time. I researched physiotherapy courses, syllabus, colleges, facilities and their fee structure in India. I made a list of some best colleges and in the end, I chose this college after checking all the aspects of my studies. All the faculties were highly qualified both academically and practically. Most of them have done publications on reputed publishers like Scopus and Elsevier. They had years of experience in their specialized fields. The best thing to say is the unique teaching methods and resource materials they provide. They simplify the topics and make sure everyone understands the concept. They conduct internal exams, model exams, and monthly tests to make students familiar with the questions and to get an idea before appearing for university exams. While I was studying, I think the fee hike policy was 10,000 per year. They changed infrastructure, facilities, and modern equipment as the year progressed.
We have 6 months compulsory internship. I had postings on Physiotherapy OPD, Pediatric and OBG wards, Orthopedics and Traumatology, General Medicine/Surgery wards, MICU and PICU, Neurology and Neuro ICU Surgery wards and community postings also. I got good exposure to different cases from different departments. We had to Present projects, case presentations, mini-lectures and literature reviews during the internship. The stipend was not there for our internship.
There was no placement at that time but to my knowledge, those who graduated with me are working in well-reputed organizations now. No one is jobless. The opportunity is increasing as more and more people are aware of theimportance of taking physiotherapy. We can run our clinics, in hospitals, rehab centres, wellness centres, fitness and diet, and so on. The average highest salary in India is INR 24 LPA and the highest with relevant experience is 44 LPA. In Kerala, a fresher salary is between 18,000-22,000 and which will vary according to experience and organization. I plan to work and settle in European countries after completing my master's degree and with relevant experience and after cracking the eligibility exams or registrations.
As it is outside Kerala, they celebrate all the festivals without many restrictions compared to Kerala. College celebrations are Onam, Holy, Christmas, Eid, Iftar, Garbha Night, Rangoli, Ganesh Chaturthi, Dasara, and Deepavali. They also conduct college cultural fest, sports day, freshers party, Farewell party, Graduation ceremony and intercollege programs as well. The college is equipped with an air-conditioned library which includes thousands of books related to the subjects we study during course time. The library includes old versions as well as the latest versions of the books and articles, journals as well. It is open from 9 am to 8 pm with Wi-Fi and desktop availability. I was staying in a rented house near to college only in Pandesh, shivanagara. It was 3BHK with rent of around 18,000 including 9 students. We used to cook food because it was difficult to adjust to Mangalore food at first then will became familiar with it. Many PGs and rented houses are available near to college.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
