- The hostels are new so are in good shape atleast for the time being
- The proposed plan for campus is actually good but as long as all those building and grounds are not build, it's not a good idea to join this college.
Dislikes
- Lack of teaching staff, not a single senior professor in our college, all are assistant professors, and most of them does not emphasize on teaching students, they just spend there 1 hour lecture somehow and then go and enjoy in their AC cabins
- No sports ground, no medical facility, no proper transport to go to the city or railway station or bus stand, students have to manage all on their own.
Remarks :
I decided to go to this college because it was running in MNIT Jaipur due to the unavailability of a permanent campus, till the time we were in MNIT everything went smoothly and very well, but when we shifted to our new campus in Ranpur, Kota in August 2023 things did not remain the same. The new campus lacks almost all basic amenities, there is no medical facility inside the campus, Kota city is about 12km away from the outer campus no proper transport facility is available, most of the faculty teaching us are unwilling to make some efforts to students, they don't teach very well, and in the new campus, we have very less no. of assistant professor with zero professors in college. In short, after shifting to the new campus, IIIT Kota is not one of the colleges someone should wish to go to, the placements are messed up for ECE students, and not a single core company comes to IIIT KOTA, you need to do coding to get a placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our curriculum is copied from that of IITs, NITs and other top colleges, but on the other hand, the faculty is miserable in terms of teaching, we also have a shortage of staff and teachers, also the administrative powers are also in the hands of teachers so it makes the life of students more difficult because due to any personal misunderstandings the teacher can take administrative actions too on the student. The Fee structure is alright, a total of 1,42,000 fees(including hostel and mess) is aid every semester but the Facilities provided are almost zero for these fees, we have water and electricity shortage, no power backup, no proper drinking water, no qualified staff members, the mess food is of the poorest quality possible, there had been a big strike for that issue but things are still not good because the power to make things better is in wrong hands. State-level and Central level scholarships are available to students.
Placement Experience :
To sit in placements you need at least a 6.5 CGPA, Only IT-based companies visit our college, no companies for ECE students, they need to do coding and clear all coding rounds to get a placement, and even then the companies prefer CSE students over ECE ones, so placement is really bad in ECE branch. For the year 2024, the on-campus placement was not exciting, though we had an off-campus placement of 85 LPA, but most of the placed students don't have a dream job. Many students go for GATE in 4th year if not placed and continue higher studies.
Campus Life :
The campus only compromises of one boy hostel, one girls' hostel, one academic building and one mess, so the campus is not a place someone will enjoy, we have clubs for almost everything and the students are very active in all those clubs and consider organizing a lot of events to make college life better, but still sufficient funds to organize these events are not provided by college so it is not an easy task to organise a lot of events or even a few events with all fun activities to do. No fest has been conducted in the last 4 years in our college, when we were in MNIT, we were allowed to be part of their fests, but now after shifting to the new campus, no fest has been organised. The library is small but has sufficient books and many novels too, classrooms have chillers which work fine for cooling. Not a single ground is available to play any sport, if you want to play sports in college then this place is not for you. Food quality is also poor and the college is not supportive of students.

I heard that btech is no one here for academics and placements for women so its worth it. There are lots of sports opportunities wherever you want you can achieve like horse riding squash etc. theres aviation as well for the girls to fly and achieve their dreams

Yes, students had gotten placements via college in banking and private companies because after completing graduation i also got an opportunity through college but due to some circumstances, i hadn’t got that chance.

You just have to be a student of last year for applying in internship programs and placements. You have to master any skill and then you can get placement. Many small companies helds campaigns in the university and appoint students for job. The average package is around 20-30 per annum. The highest is around 40 to 50 lakh and lowest is around 10 to 20 lakh per annum. 60% of students gets placement in companies . My plans after getting the degree are to master a skill and then apply for a job in a well known company.

I really don't like placement of jecrc bcoz I don't see mt senior going to a great company out campus they are achieving good but in our campus we don't really get into good company they should have increased the number of companies in our college

Campus recruitment training is provided to all course students and it depends on the student whether they want to opt for it or not. After CRT, different companies come to the campus for their recruitment drive.

There is no campus placement here. Students who passed out from here some are finding jobs, some had their good family business and just wanted to get a degree and some started their own startup. College don't provide you any future security.

As every engineering college we get high placements in circuital branches but for non circuitals senior advice to study a particular language , DSA and all to get placements which is somewhere right because chances of circuital branch jobs are high.
