There was no entrance as such back in my time. But I chose this college because it is close to my home. And name of Seshadripuram Educational Trust is big here in Bangalore. The college is situated in the centre of Yelahanka New Town, which is why there is no scarcity of amenities. Also, the college provides a Gym and NCC which is not there in other (small-scale) colleges.
The faculty is very much friendly, there are scholarships for international students and I see many students from Afghanistan and Bangladesh coming in. The college is NAAC A+ accredited which is a big achievement for a college with such a small budget. There are other scholarships and quotas which is applicable like sports quotas for students who have played national and/or state level and there is a defence quota for defence brats. The faculty of Seshadripuram holds good years of experience, in science and technology. And for management studies for which Seshadripuram is known, they have Student exchange programs for MBA with colleges from the United Kingdom. And have a big department for B.Com.
I was an intern in the Department of Environmental Sciences, Indian Institute of Science, one of the biggest research facilities in India for Life Sciences. So the internship opportunities for keen and enthusiastic students are there, and teachers also encourage such students to get more and more exposure.
Seshadripuram First Grade College conducts a yearly placement drive exclusively for internal students and every year 60-70% of students get placed with a good starting package. The rest of the people rather go for higher studies as encouraged by the faculty. Because they provide great MBA courses for management students and have great insightful teaching to help students pursue Master of Science for science students.
The college provides open opportunities to take part in NCC, NSS, Sports and much more. The Department of Biotechnology has an Eco-watch club that looks after a periodic cleaning of the vicinity and goes out for tree plantation activities around Bangalore. 7Kar BN NCC B-group which I was also a part of, had never failed in the CATC parade competition back in my time. Along with this, since the college is at the centre of Yelahanka New Town, all the amenities and educational requirements are covered within a perimeter of 500 meters. There are parks around the college, and 24/7 Polic patrolling makes the area safe as well. Both Yelahanka Old Town and Yelahanka New Town police stations are 500 meters away.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
