Likes
- Mentorship- Teachers are really supportive and they are very helpful,also they provide good mentorship for the students. They help students regarding their doubts and issues in studies. They also motivates students if needed.
- Infrastructure - Overall infrastructure is good,based on the strength of the students. Facilities are available like washrooms, drinking water, dustbin. Focus on cleanliness is also there, security is good so overall infrastructure is good.
- Laboratory- Computer systems are available and good laboratories are there for students. Good internet connectivity is provided in the college and also books are available in enough amount for academics. Faculties are good,friendly and supportive.
- Campus life- Campus life is good ,as it is open campus, canteens are available, sitting spots are there for students to talk and spend time during breaks.
Dislikes
- Teaching methods - Teaching methods are not that upto the Mark. As my course required some advance knowledge and practical teaching skills,so that level of teaching is not available. Faculties are supportive but the teaching needs to improve.
- Placement - Placement facilities are there but opportunities are less for the students. Companies visiting campus are in very less amount. No big MNC visits our college. Students getting very low package,so overall there's a scope of improvement in placement department.
- Extra curricular activities - Extra curricular activities are not available or conducted in that much amount, students clubs are not there,sports activities are less.
Remarks :
A main factor that I considered was this college comes under VTU University which is a very famous and good University. I was referred by my friend, so that's how I got to know about this college. I took admission through management quota, but if you are from Karnataka you can take CET entrance exams and If you are from out of Karnataka you can take the Comedk entrance exam to get admission in this college. The fee structure is different for CET and Comedk students. Normally CET students pay fewer fees, availing the benefits of their home state. The cut-off is around 40000, in CET for this college, or you can get direct admission also. You just need to have above around 45 per cent in 12th exams, But maybe it can cost you more. The good aspects of the college are the supportive faculties, good University, teacher-to-student ratio, and laboratories. Bad aspects include uneven timings of the semester, placement issues as it is a third-tier college, and teaching quality is not upto the mark.
Course Curriculum Overview :
T curriculum is good, as my course is Ai&Ds and I chose this course because of the increasing demand in this field. The only issue with the course curriculum is that sometimes you have to study some subjects which are not important. Also, it is more focused on the theoretical part, instead of the practical part. All the faculties are highly qualified like m.tech, PhD. The teaching methods of some teachers are good, but some of them struggle with it, as we are not able to understand the subject topics. Exam timings are not fixed, each semester is different, mostly final exams are conducted in around 1 month. Semester duration are also not fixed, mostly even semesters are small, compared to odd semesters. The fee is fixed for all 4 years, but extra charges like exam fees, extra curricular activities charges can be modified according to the situation. Scholarships are available by the government if you are eligible, also college provides scholarships based on entrance exam results, conducted by the college.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I didn't opt for any internship opportunities till now. I'm trying to get some internship opportunities, but I haven't had success yet. The co arranges some skill sessions as a part of skill improvement, but not any internship opportunities. We have to find ourselves for internship opportunities.
Placement Experience :
As a third-tier college placements and facilities are available but it is tough to crack those jobs. Companies like first American, bit,soti, and focus edutech, come as a pool campus drive or through the online test method. The average package is around 4 lakhs and the highest package is 6-6.5 lakhs by First American. But the number of students who got placed is less, due to fewer opportunities or fewer skills and knowledge. Most of the companies which visit are based on online exams, which they conduct for a particular region colleges or all over India. My plan is also to get a job after a degree or during my degree through campus placements.
Campus Life :
Life at the campus is okay, I mean it's an open campus so you can go wherever you want during college time. Social life is good, the fest organised by our college is called Shriutsav and mostly conducted during June every year. Books are available in the library, mostly related to courses, online library is also available. Sports are conducted during the fest only, every year, apart from that it provides to take part in inter/intra University sports events at different places. Currently, no social group is run by students, Instagram pages are available, like shridevi_tumkur. Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls, but the girl's engineering hostel is outside the campus, half a kilometre away from the college. Hostel facilities are good,4 members and 2 members rooms are available, but 2 members room cost 10000 extra. Mess food is okay, okay, I mean it is not upto that mark. Overall fees for the mess and hostel are 60000 plus some extra charges.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
BSc Physics at Jain University
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
A review by a normal college student
Placement Experience :
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.

We do see companies and lot of posters inside campus of placements Cgpa with above 8 are dligible for placements here and usually 4th year students are eligible Student named abhinav choudry was offered 52LPA last year from AIML and by company called AMD And in 2020 someone got placed 45lpa from amazon 52lpa was the highest here And the average for my course is around 6-7 lpa Percentage of students getting placed is around 65-80% rest do degree or may not be placed My plan is do m tech after getting degree here
