I have always loved the campus life of this college thus at a very young age I decided to come and study here. I had to go through one written exam and two rounds of interviews. I prepared generally as someone else would do for any other college though they guide you over call on how to prepare.
I chose the course with no prior experience or knowledge of the course and what is the approach to teaching it at this university and gradually explored the course and its functioning. The faculty is like the two extremes of a pendulum, on one hand very good, highly qualified etc etc but on the other hand.... I think I have made myself very clear. The term exams are held timely, there was no fee hike as such that I experienced.
We are sent to a part of India in a group of three for a one-month social internship, it is not paid but adds to the application of knowledge that we gained from the college. Overall a good experience teaches you a lot about yourself and society.
There is no placement offered in my course of English but I have heard a lot about the placement opportunities in the subject of Yoga and VFX Animation. A lot of recruited VFX artists have worked on movies like the Avengers Endgame and Bahubali.
They have an annual cultural fest by the name "Utsav" which is a 2-3 day event. A lot of activities happen throughout this period and the entire university participates with interest. The availability of books and journals is easily accessible, and amenities in the classroom are enough to support the students. There are many sports activities and a functioning gym for girls and boys with different timings for each. There are around 7-8 student clubs that are not so active but they do whatever they can. It is a closed campus university, so hostels are allotted to every single child, the messy food is good to sustain yourself and the campus life is easily affordable for everyone.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
