I have a domicile in Uttarakhand that's why I chose this college, we get admission through the neet exam, and the cut-off for this college is not high, general category students can get admission even if they score in the 200s range.
Most faculty members are doctors but there are some faculty which are just normal BSc or MSc but have an attitude of doctor level, they try to insult you and make you feel tortured, The terms exam is held every 3 months, and we have a total of 2 terminals exam and then pre-professional and professional. The level of difficulty is not very high but teachers will fail you if you're on their radar. There is no fee hike on tuition fees but every year 10% increment on hostel and mess fees. Total fees will cost you up to 85lakh if you're a resident of Uttarakhand other wise management seat will cost you 1 crore.
No, I have not opted for any internship and I don't think this college is right for you to study, actually, there is a lack of exposure in this college You can take part in an internship but the college will not provide you with such resources.
I don't think this college will give you placement, teachers are just pathetic, even 1 student committed suicide in this college due to pressure from teachers. You have to stay underground if you want to go to this college. Teachers can take revenge by failing you.
There is no such fest conducted in this college but this year we had a fest, but there is no separate fest for medical students. The library has every book which you want, even if they have AC but don't use it idk why. The hostel has timings which is the worst thing about this, in 1st year you're not allowed to go out after 7 pm then from 2nd year onwards 9 pm is the time. You'll get a fine of up to 5k if you're late in the hostel, And everyday attendance is taken in the hostel, if you're absent in the hostel 1 k fine, You can get permission by sending messages to the vice principal after their approval you can go out.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
