At my time there were no group discussions or GD/PI for admission but it was based on the merit list of the 12th score. Pratap College is one of the best and most famous colleges in my area which makes me take admission here. Good Aspects:- Faculties are highly educated, the Campus is very nice, Hostel is provided with decent amenities. Bad Aspects:- At my, there was no placement Cell, but now it is highly active.
I was trying for a BSc(Agriculture) but was not shortlisted so I was delayed in choosing any other subject So for a short time this course was available only. Most faculties are PhD and Masters. They were very helpful in every aspect and a bit strict also. Classes were taken on time exams were on a semester basis. Two semesters were there. The course Curriculum is followed by NMU Jalgaon. My admission was from the management quota. Yes, Scholarships are provided to SC/ST/OBC categories. Freeship was one of the scholarships I had known.
I didn't opt for any internship because it was not available at my time but now it is available. You are eligible from the second year of the degree. For CS and IT, more companies are offering internships with stipends depending on your skills.
At my time no placement support was there but nowadays placement cell is highly active at Pratap College, For IT and CS students particularly have high chances of placement. Companies like Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Mphasis, Capgemini, ASTEKBIT Technologies, and Chegg are visiting regularly. Placement eligibility is TY appearing without any subject backlog with company score criteria. The average package is 3.2 LPA. Almost 50% of students get placed every year.
Life at campus was awesome. I was a hosteller. Hostel facilities were excellent except for food quality. Clubs like NSS, and NCC are there. Annual functions are held twice a year. Hostel rooms are quite decent with satisfactory cleanliness. I was in 3 sharing rooms with basic amenities like a fan, light and bed.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .

There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
