Likes
- There is good infrastructure, very good faculty, social life is also very good. Good atmosphere for learning and enriching the knowledge. Very good library with around 10000+ books in every field.
- The internship opportunities and placements are very good. No other institutions provide this opportunity. Students become fully trained in the area they are. School attachment program are conducted in very semester that gives a Outlook of how schools run
Dislikes
- The classes do not run regularly. And the portions remain incomplete. There are less teachers and recruitment should be done.
- The hostel Facilities are not good. No hot water for taking bath, food quality is very poor, drinking water had some impurities till last semesters.
Remarks :
The institute is of the national importance. We get to learn integrated science and education courses in 4 years. There will be an entrance exam conducted by the NCERT. The exam will be easy and with a few weeks of practice, one can do the exam very well. There will be English grammar, mathematics and teaching aptitude questions.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Studying in an institute of national importance is a good thing. And that too with 4 year integrated course saves a lot of time. The faculty here is very good. Almost all faculty have a PhD degree and have immense knowledge. The teaching is also good here. Exams are semester and 2 internal assessments are conducted in each semester. The exams are not that difficult and one can easily pass but scoring is difficult and getting a good GPA is not that easy. There will be NCERT scholarships given to students based on their performances in semester exams and other instances are monitored.
Internships Opportunities :
There is good scope for an internship in the institute. The 7th-semester students take up the internship and they are very well-trained in the teaching process. Nearly 30 weeks of teaching practice will be done. The students are sent to JNVs for internship and our faculty will be there to guide them throughout the process and evaluate them.
Placement Experience :
There are good placements and tear by year it is improving. Almost 40 schools from south and central India and some from abroad come for placements. The last year students appear for placements and the institute takes full responsibility for placements. The average package is around 35k for TGT and 45k for PGT. Some students take placements and those who all appear for placements are offered although many students continue with their further studies. I would go for my higher studies rather than taking placements.
Campus Life :
The campus in RIE Mysore is very good, student-friendly environment, no ragging and students have a good relationship with their seniors and juniors. There are regional festivals celebrated like Pongal, Ugadi, Onam, Kannada Rajyotsava, Bhatukamma, and Diwali by the students. The annual fest of 3 days is conducted by the student council once a year. The sports and extracurricular activities are very active throughout the year. House-wise competitions are conducted for the all-around development of students. There are many clubs active like cosmos, chemistry, book club, poetry, singing, dancing etc. The hostel Facilities are not that good and the food is of very poor quality. Last year food poisoning case was seen. The hostel is very affordable. 2 in a room with 2 cots, 2 tables and chairs, 2 cupboards.

The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
