I have heard that this college has good education and has lots of placements so I joined this college. Also, my branch which is bioinformatics is only available in this college when I am enrolling. It also provided concession for fees based on VSAT, JEE mains, NEET, exact AP and 12th board marks. I think the fee has increased a lot in recent years but if you have a good score in vast or EAMCET or mains or NEET or even board exams you can get up to 50 -75% concession.
I am a BIPC student with no scope of btech after completion of my 12th. Then I came to know about this course which offers a graduate program in bioinformatics for people like me. It also has biotechnology but I was more interested in joining bioinformatics as It also consists of medical coding with applications of biology. We have subjects like molecular genetics, metabolomics, computational biology and also technical subjects like R, Unix, DBMS, java, python and so on...the teaching was good. They explain the subject in not just theory but also in a practical way. We can also ask various questions about the subject they will gladly explain to you your doubts. As for term exams each sem we have three midterms as of r19 regulation. Each sem consists of 5 months where 1st month covers all the information about subjects the next three months will have midterms respectively and the fifth month will conduct the final sem examination which is around 14-18 days.
Some of the MNC companies like TCS, Accenture, and Cognizant have visited our campus and recruited no. of students. As this year is a recession year the no. of offers is fewer but as for alternatives they brought different companies for us to get placed. The highest package will be around 7-12lpa and the lowest will be 2.4lpa. I plan to do MS after completion of my degree.
There are some fests where students from all departments participate like Mahotsav.it is a 3-day fest in which we have so many competitions. You will also be given prizes that start from 2000. And it will be conducted in the month Feb. There are lots of books which are available in the library and you can even ask the librarian what kind of book you are searching for.. they will tell you the location. We also have a mobile library near U Block which is far away from the main library block. We also have a basketball ground to play basketball, crickets, and football and there are so many. Some of the extracurricular activities include fun activities every Wednesday and Saturday. There are also several clubs like SAC, NSS, NCC They will arrange a meeting for 1st years what type of clubs they are running and also give registration forms for those groups. The hostel fee for anyone is about 98k which is a high amount for me so I opted for a PG which is located in Guntur.
PLACEMENTS ARE EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD AS THE PLACEMENT RATE FOR OUR CAMPUS IS 90%+ AND OUR COLLEGE IS WELL KNOWN FOR THE DEFINITE PLACEMENT AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA IS YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE ACTIVE BACKLOGS AND YOU SHOULD HAVE SKILLS RELATED TO YOUR CORE
The placement and job opportunities are very good. we have well supported placement and training cell. They will try every way to bring the companies to our college. In the tough situations also they use their every network to place the students in the well reputated companies.
Maximum most of students got placed ,but they are all not satisfied for theirs jobs and unplaced students have support for higher education or mtech admissions, for mtech admission they are conducting interview based on their course, and avg salary for placed students is 6lpa
Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.
The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.
Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.
The average annual hostel fee is around Rs. 48,000 per student (or roughly Rs. 3,000 - 4,000 per month. The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms. Students note that the rooms are kept tidy, well-lit, and offer options for both single and shared occupancy.
In my college, the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.
Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.
There are good placements are going on on this university to crack a job interviews and minimum packages are got by some and most got more packages and the more more companies are coming to this university and when we have skill and discipline only we get placement job otherwise we won't get job.
