SRM University did have qualified teaching staff but the university lacked management and wasn't able to complete semester studies according to time. They left so many chapters because the exam came near. During the third semester, my teacher left the last two chapters of financial management, during 6th semester they forced us to take intern and it was so difficult to search for. Internship here, college didn't help us at all. The exams here are simple they just want us to pass to increase the university's reputation. In simple words, the university is like a politician.
The fees of SRM University are cheap compared to others. In most private universities MBA fees are more than 150000 per semester but in SRM University it's around 70000. So fees here are comparatively very cheap.
I have done an internship in a retail outlet. Here in Sikkim, there is no paid internship. Me and my two friends searched so many hotels, banks, offices to work as interns but our internship was along with MBA and HTM students. Thus it was hard to find a place to work as so many students have already joined there so kept getting rejected. Although college was terrible the staff in Reliance Trends was so nice even the store manager.
The placements are good but it mostly depends upon the students and their skills. The faculty won't help you at all they will just ask for money to bring the placement selectors and leave you. They won't tell you how to interact with them and the proper morale and etiquette.
SRM University doesn't have a campus. The small programmes are organised with the class like Vigyan Utsavan. But sports and cultural - music festivals are organised in other places, they are reserved by the university.
Although I didn't stay at the hostel I know what it's like because my classmate is there. After taking admission I went to the hostel to look at the rooms and let me tell it was terrible, four people staying in a small room sharing the same bathroom. One thing is that different kinds of people stay there some may be terrible others are super racist like my friend who is so so racist that even my friends are awkward to go with him. As you may have understood from friends' descriptions what kind of people are living in the hostel?
Placements and job opportunities are given to students after their completion of internship some may get the opportunity in between their internship, like recently our department seniors were gone for their internship and they are receiving amount of stipend in their internship at around 7000 rupees which was good thing for them
Curriculum is far well balanced having skill subject's let you have knowledge in other fields like as an medical you can be able to choose hospitality management such as bakery to gain knowledge in baking and the faculties are really supportive and overall academics are good
Recently Our senior's got placement at highly companies in banglore they were from MBA n BBA...our college had tied with many companies n by which many of us r getting employed n it's skill university offcourse we r trained to do something n to perform critical thinking by which we r ready to dive.
The placements are not highlighted as most students apply for jobs in a wide range of off-campus sites. My plans after getting the degree is to clear NET and continue with my education as a PhD scholar.
No guarantees . There is no placement guarantee in our college if you pass you pass their is no guarantee that you'll get a job after the college i have seen my seniors driving taxi after college and I'm afraid
Although the college claims 100 percent placements. I have seen my seniors running and applying for job interviews here and there. However i feel only 50- 60 percent gets placed by the college campus interview. But also there are many opportunities outside the college so one doesn't have to worry for placements.
Yes we do have internship program. If you do diploma you will get one OJT that can vary upon the field of your interest such such you want to move to another location or not And if you are not diploma then you get one OJT plus last 9 months of internship then placement.
job and placements are on average side and if we look at roi of the college then i would say it cannot your first priority but the situations are changing and placement are getting better over the years.
Their is no placement after the completion of course we have to apply to any school by ourselves whenever the govt provide interview for the teacher we can apply in that we have to faced interview to get this job
As this college do not provide placement but you will get the idea what to do next as college conduct different programs where we get the idea of what we can go for after completing our cources ..the job according to your cources
So the University doesn't have any sort of Placement Cell however the student body has assured that they will make it work and resume it soon. But as of now not having Placement benefit is a disadvantage. However, if you're good enough to crack NET exams and some other entrances than even some of the private universities can take us into consideration. I'm planning to crack NET and continue with PhD if I get a chance otherwise I'll have to crack good amount of entrances.
