There is a exam know as PUTHAT which is compulary for admissions which is of +2 level. Its bit easy then there is councilling after that you pay the fees and then voila you are in the course. The passing marks are 35%.
The course is really good, but the teaching method is not that great because teachers are mostly on leaves or they just do chitchat in the class and leave and the term exams were east and invigilator is also very friendly and you can just go and do the paper and come back. You get the exam results by three months and then you will get the original DMC by one year and the fee high here is very very. It’s around 20% per year the fee hike plus you have to give around 10,000 every six months for the trips which are included in the course curriculum, which has a weightage of marks.
There were no internship opportunities, but in the course there is A whole semester for this internship and surprisingly PU doesn’t offer good internship, so we have to go to different companies and ask for internship opportunities which usually be free or around 10 to 15,000 per month, which is very low like for me, I have worked as a travel agent in a private firm, which only gives me around 10,000 per month, which is very less
PU has different departments. Different departments have different placements, but if I just talk about my department placement cell is not that good because they don’t have enough jobs. Not the company has come to PU for this and if a company is there, then the placements are guaranteed, but it depend on the student and the pay scale is very low as compared to the colleges, it’s just around 30,000 per month to 10,000 per month or zero, sometimes as an intern, so we have to opt off campus placement
PU college life is one of the best college life in India because there are election. There are many fests. There is a lot of crowd of the students and in this specific course we have event known as 2 day which is like a two or three days event collaborator is full of books and journals. You can just go show them your ID card, and you can just get the books, even also go for extra activities and the sports. There is also different sports department in Punjabi University, which all the needs.
No, I didn’t opt for a hostel, but my friends were there. The food quality is really good so affordable. It’s around ?40 per plate which has plenty of food and you can just refill it a limited times. The hostel fee is way too low. It’s around 6000 per semester and around 4000 for the Canteen bills, so yes, and if you just sent to Pg, it will cost around 10 to 15,000 per month, which is very higher than the thing which is PU giving.
College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year
Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job
I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.
Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs
placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil
Placements are average on comparison with other private colleges around here Highest package this year - 11.3Lpa The teachers help very much in placements and internship . The TPC cell of the college is dead for their work
The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro, hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.
There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.
The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
