Remarks :

The very first factor I chose after I scored low marks in both JEE Mains and CBSE Board was that it's from Indraprastha University which is kind of a renowned one. The second thing that I checked was how near it is to my home and how much fare I would've to spend to reach college. The one thing that I should've checked was the locality of the college. This college lies in the heart of Seelampur, so, firstly, it's not a safe area and secondly, there are no nearby places to hangout except for this one eatery (it's not hygienic though) called Madras Cafe which can be your hangout spot. The admission process was smooth with a very low cut-off. I got a 2 lakh rank in JEE and still I got admission in Electronics and Communication Engineering without any extra fees. There was no Personal Interview or Group Discussion.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I didn't choose this course. I had a very low rank in JEE, something around 2 lakhs, so only Electronics and Communication Engineering in this college or Computer Science Engineering in HMR was an option for me, so, I had to choose this one. The education qualification of the faculty is average with some main subject teachers are graduated from IIT (Masters) but the one good thing is that they're lenient and not too strict. All of this can't sideline the fact, that, only three or four teachers were serious while teaching only in the first three years but in the last year, that's the fourth year, they only shared PDFs and Notes in class groups and no classes used to happen. The final semester exams used to happen June-July and January-February while each semester used to have two mid-semester exams, also known as sessionals. If you read Akash (helping book) thoroughly, then it's very easy to pass the exam.

Internships Opportunities :

No, I didn't opt for any internship from college but I opted for an internship from Internshala in Content Writing since I don't want to go into the technical field and I'm more of a creative guy. I used to write YouTube videos regarding AI businesses.

Placement Experience :

They have a Summer Training Program offered by IBM at the end of the second year during June but the college themselves don't provide any internship. The major recruiters are TCS, Nagaro, IBM and GrapeCity but this year placement went all downhill since even the major recruiter didn't come and it's an all-time low in placement this year. So, I'd suggest trying off-campus placement since the highest package from our college this year was off-campus of 25 LPA in Microsoft and the average package is around 3 LPA. Less than 20% of students got placed this year. The placement is below average for this college. I have different plans after getting the degree as I'm gonna follow my passion.

Campus Life :

Inside college life is decent and good, the cultural societies like Yakshagna, Dazzlers and Swaranjali are good and function nicely and joining them would be a good decision if you want enjoyable college years. There's one annual festival of Indraprastha University called Anugoonj that happens in the month of March-April and ADGITM's fest happens around April-May and its name is Innoviz. Classrooms are nice and cosy during winter since the whole college is fully ventilated but during summers it gets very hot and humid and sometimes even the fans don't work. During any performance in the Auditorium, it gets so suffocated due to its small size and dysfunctional ACs. You'll also find insects in water coolers so I'd advise you to buy a water bottle or carry two bottles with you. There is a basketball and a volleyball court but it's very slippery and not properly maintained except when there's a sports event and a football ground and even indoor games are also present.

Gargi Colleg , Delhi university

Placement Experience :

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Placement Experience :

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
