Indian Institute of Forest Management or IIFM, Bhopal was established in 1982 by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. It has a cost-sharing arrangement with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). IIFM Bhopal is a member of AACSB and is also recognized by AICTE. In 2024, IIFM Bhopal Ranking by Times of India was 34th out of 100 management colleges. IIFM was ranked 43rd out of 46 management colleges by IIRF in the same year.

IIFM Bhopal provides MBA, FPM, and PhD courses. MBA is offered as a flagship course in various specializations including Forestry Management, Sustainability Management, Sustainable Development, and Development and Sustainable Finance. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks (45% in the case of reserved categories) in Graduation from a recognized university.
