MSU Baroda Scholarships

MSU Baroda scholarships are granted each year to deserving and genuine students who are selected through personal interviews spanning over a month. Once selected, the scholarship funds are directly deposited into their bank accounts. Since the 2012-13 academic year, the Directorate of Student Welfare (DSW) has awarded scholarships totaling 6,70,04,852 rupees to 16,593 financially disadvantaged students, enabling them to continue their education. In the 2020-21 academic year, the entire process was conducted online due to the COVID-19 situation. Out of 2,925 registered students, 2,621 completed their applications with the required documents. A total of Rs. 90,40,490 lakh was disbursed to 2,004 students during this academic year. The scholarship benefitted 1,662 Grant-in-Aid students and 342 Higher Payment students, with a gender-wise distribution of 1,181 boys and 823 girls.

In the 2020-21 academic year, a 100% scholarship was provided to students at MSU Baroda who had lost their parents during the COVID-19 pandemic, totaling Rs. 6,46,760, and benefiting 17 such students under special circumstances.
