MSU Baroda scholarships are granted in the form of The Directorate of Students' Welfare (DSW). It is a flagship program of the university that was established under the initiative of the former Vice Chancellor and other senior authorities. Its purpose is to offer financial assistance to economically disadvantaged students at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. This program, which began in the academic year 2012-13, aims to support "genuine but economically disadvantaged" students, ultimately striving to create an equitable educational environment for all students, regardless of their financial backgrounds.\r\n\r\nTo be eligible for scholarship support from DSW, students must have a family income of less than 3.5 lakh per annum and have scored a minimum of 55% marks in their previous year's exams. They need to submit various supporting documents, including Aadhar cards, bank account details, electricity bills, and more, to apply online through the MSU website.\r\n\r\n
Every year, needy and deserving students are identified through a systematic process, which includes personal interviews spanning over a month. Once shortlisted, the scholarship funds are directly transferred to the student's bank accounts.\r\n\r\n
