NITTE University follows both entrance based and merit based admission, based on the course selected by the student. For BTech, students usually need to take the Nitte University Common Admission Test, also called NUCAT. Other accepted routes may include JEE or KCET. Students must have passed Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate marks in relevant subjects.
For medical courses such as MBBS and BDS, admission depends on NEET-UG scores followed by MCC counselling for the university quota. Courses such as BSc Nursing and BPharm are often offered on the basis of Class 12 merit. PG courses, including MBA and MSc, accept scores from national and state level tests such as MAT, KMAT, CAT and CUET-PG. MD/MS admission is through NEET PG, while M.Ch admission depends on NEET SS.
Students apply on the official NITTE University website by filling out the online application form and paying the application fee. They generally need academic transcripts, identity proof, entrance exam scorecards and category certificates, if applicable.
The counselling process changes by course, but it usually starts after entrance exam results or merit lists are prepared. Shortlisted students attend counselling, submit course preferences and receive seats according to rank and seat availability. Some seats are also available under inclusivity and NRI quotas. NRI candidates may be considered for direct admission on the basis of Class 12 marks.
For Ph.D. admission, students appear for university entrance tests and interviews unless they are exempt because of qualifications such as UGC-NET or GATE. The university gives course-wise admission instructions, eligibility details, entrance exam information, counselling schedules and document verification steps through its admission portals for constituent colleges such as K.S. Hegde Medical Academy and Nitte Institute of Hospitality Services.
NITTE University offers different scholarship options for students. These include merit scholarships, excellence scholarships and full fee waiver scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
For B.Tech, 20% of general category seats are reserved for scholarships for top ranked NUCAT candidates who also meet the academic requirements. Top performers can receive a fee waiver of up to 40%. The university also has specific scholarships for architecture and MBA students, along with merit based fee concessions for students who score above set percentages in Class 12.
Meritorious PhD students may receive fellowships. NITTE also supports government scholarships such as NSP and SSP. Scholarship amounts and eligibility rules depend on the course and merit criteria.
Reserved category students get admission benefits such as relaxed eligibility conditions in some courses. For engineering, the minimum percentage requirement may be 45% instead of 50%. NITTE also reserves 10% of seats under an Inclusivity category for eligible candidates and offers scholarships or fee concessions for meritorious and reserved category students.

Nitte is a good college for studies and exposure there are pros and cons for this place as if you are coming from mangalore or udupi you have to travel one hour minimum and there is nothing to do over here because its in the middle of nowhere But its a huge campus and good cafeteria
Read Full ReviewI heard about this college early before joining this college. BSc nursing in this college is of good quality. We have to write an entrance test named NUCAT which is conducted by the college itself. We have to crack the examination and should come under the rank of hundred. The topics for this exam are physics chemistry and biology from plus two.
Read Full ReviewThe admission process was very easy. I just applied on their official website and went directly for admission. They gave the admission forms and details from the office and paid the fees for the first year. Overall, it was much easier than expected. I didn’t write any exams or something like that.
Read Full ReviewI chose this college cause it’s quite famous in this area and also many of my family friends have studied and passed out of here. They have certain cut-off percentage which differs year by year but I guess from next year they might be conducting entrance test for the same which might be different or maybe on the basis of NEET as per IAP’s new guidelines.

Read Full ReviewTo choose the college i refer Google and also one of my friends recommend that nitte is the best college gives good outcome once you get out of there is a good option and value of course is so much which will help not only to get good marks but also for the good skill experience
Read Full ReviewI researched colleges providing this course, and that's how I came to know about this college from online platforms. For Admission, Eligibility was scoring 50% marks each in 12th standards PCBE subjects. The admission process, application form everything was completely online, its fee was around 750 rupees and the date was between April- May to the best of my knowledge. I don't know anything about reservations. Exams are completely intellectual it's based on your ability to learn and your interest in the subject. In the online portal they don't provide many details about the college, they will only give more details after paying the advance. You will be told to pay advance like 60000 rupees within 7 days to block seats, so it may be confusing and worrying to decide within a short duration with lesser knowledge of course, and college and since it's completely online I felt a little more nervous to take the next step.
Read Full ReviewMy friend told me about this college. The admission process is easy and they will help in the admission process. Good college. The admission process is easy there is no entry exam. If you have eligibility in PCB then you will get a seat.
