MLSU Udaipur Admission Dates 2027

The next admission round at MLSU is for the 2027-28 academic year. The university follows different selection routes for different course groups, including Class 12 merit, university-level tests, and state or national entrance scores.

MLSU Udaipur Courses and Fees

MLSU runs more than 150 programmes through its 9 faculties and 38 departments. Fees are low for government-category UG courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce, while self-financed and professional courses have higher fee structures.

The BBA course has four specialisations: General Management, Entrepreneurship, Hotel Management, and Travel and Tourism Management. MLSU also offers courses such as M.Sc Food Science and Nutrition, MA Yoga, B.Sc Yoga, and PG Diploma in Cyber Law.

MLSU Udaipur Admission Process

UG Programmes (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA)

For UG courses in the constituent departments, MLSU gives admission mainly through Class 12 marks. BA, B.Sc, B.Com, and BCA applicants do not need a national entrance test. Students apply through the MLSU online portal.

• Eligibility: Class 12 pass from any recognised board in the relevant stream
• Minimum marks: 45% for General category and 40% for reserved categories
• SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD reservation is followed as per Rajasthan government rules
• Rajasthan domicile preference is used for state category seats

B.Tech and B.Arch

B.Tech seats are filled through JEE Main scores and REAP, which is the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process. For B.Arch, students need a valid NATA score or JEE Paper 2 score. The MLSU B.Tech CSE closing rank through REAP is usually in the 30,000 to 1,00,000 range for the General category.

MBA

For MBA admission, applicants need a valid CAT, MAT, CMAT, or RMAT score. A bachelor degree in any stream with at least 50% aggregate is required. The Management Faculty shortlists students by score and then conducts group discussion and personal interview rounds.

Law (BA.LLB and LLB)

MLSU admits students to the 5-year BA.LLB and 3-year LLB through CLAT scores or a university-level law entrance test. BA.LLB applicants must have passed Class 12 with at least 45%. For the 3-year LLB, students need a bachelor degree with at least 45%.

MLSU Udaipur Placements

MLSU Udaipur has a placement cell for students from its constituent departments. Recruiters come from areas such as IT services, BFSI, hospitality, legal services, and public sector fields. In the 2025 placement season, 945 UG graduates were placed from a graduating batch of 2,672, making the UG placement rate 35%.

The median package for UG programmes in the 2025 batch was INR 3 LPA. Since many Arts and Science students also prepare for government jobs, civil services, and academic careers, the corporate placement figure does not show every career path. BBA, B.Tech, and MBA students usually receive higher packages.

Major hiring areas include IT services for B.Tech and MCA students, financial services for MBA and M.Com students, hospitality for BBA Hotel Management students, legal services for LLB students, and central and state government services across streams.

MLSU Udaipur Rankings

MLSU appears in NIRF rankings in different categories because it offers courses across many disciplines. The university also has NAAC Grade A accreditation, which covers areas such as teaching, research, and governance.

The Pharmacy category rank of 64 is one of MLSU's strongest subject-specific NIRF results. The university also takes part in the NIRF University category, where its multi-discipline academic structure adds to its overall score.

MLSU Udaipur Scholarships

MLSU students can apply for Rajasthan state and central government scholarship schemes. SC, ST, and OBC students may receive major fee support through post-matric scholarship rules, which can make government-category UG courses almost free for eligible students.

Students in law and pharmacy may also get benefits through PCI and BCI-related scholarship programmes. MBA students who have valid CAT scores and family income below INR 4.5 lakhs can apply for bank education loans under the IBA Model Education Loan scheme.

MLSU Udaipur Campus and Infrastructure

MLSU Udaipur has a 500+ acre campus in Udaipur, Rajasthan, making it one of the larger university campuses in the state. The campus includes 9 faculty buildings, a Central Library, departmental libraries, science, pharmacy, engineering, and geology laboratory blocks, and separate faculties for Law and Management. With 38 departments, MLSU is among the few Rajasthan state universities that offer Architecture, Law, Pharmacy, and Engineering on one campus.

The university provides separate hostels for male and female students. It also has sports grounds, an NCC unit, and centres for cultural activities. Its Udaipur location gives students access to the business and tourism network of South Rajasthan and the Udaipur-Bhilwara-Kota industrial corridor.
