CCSU has announced its merit list for the B.Ped and M.Ped programs. Application is open till November 28, 2023.
Set up in 1965 and now holding a NAAC A++ grade, Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU) Meerut runs its 2026 admission cycle across BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, B.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, LLB, LLM, and PhD. Two of its most sought after routes, B.Tech and MBA, carry total fees of INR 3,69,000 for 4 years and INR 1,25,400 for 2 years respectively. The state government university has an affiliation network stretching beyond 700 colleges in western Uttar Pradesh, spanning the Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Baghpat, Bijnor, Amroha, and Moradabad districts, while the main campus alone carries 12,000 seats spread over 90 programmes housed in 11 faculties.
Because the institution is government run, no management quota seats exist in any programme, and every seat is decided purely on merit or entrance rank. Applying costs INR 600 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates pay INR 300. The entry route differs by level: BA, BSc, BCom, and BBA aspirants use a CUET-UG score submitted through the CCSU Samarth portal, with the CUET-UG 2026 result out on June 23, 2026. All 7 B.Tech specialisations demand JEE Main, and seats come through UPTAC counselling, whose Round 3 result appeared on July 31, 2026. MBA and MCA seats follow CUET-PG scores, declared on April 24, 2026. LLM, MEd, BPEd, and MPEd candidates sit CCSU's in house entrance test at entrance.ccsuforms.in, M.Tech seats are allotted on GATE scores through CCMT national counselling, and doctoral aspirants either clear the CCSU PhD entrance test or claim exemption from it by holding UGC-NET or CSIR-NET qualification.

Seven engineering branches make up the B.Tech offering here: CSE, IT, ECE, Electronics and Instrumentation, Mechanical, Chemical, and Agricultural Engineering. Every route into these branches runs through JEE Main, and 100% of seats are allotted by UPTAC state counselling. On the cost side, the first year is billed at INR 96,000, with each of Years 2 to 4 charged at INR 91,000, which takes the 4 year outlay to INR 3,69,000. Candidates entering laterally pay INR 90,000 in total for their 3 years.

CUET-PG scores govern entry into the 2 year MBA and MCA programmes. No scholarship fund of its own is maintained by the university, since it functions as a government institution. What students can tap instead are the scholarship schemes floated by the state and the centre.

|---|---|---|
| UP Post-Matric Scholarship (SC/ST) | SC and ST students with UP domicile | Full tuition reimbursement |
| UP Post-Matric Scholarship (OBC) | OBC students with family income below INR 2.5 lakh | Partial fee reimbursement |

Ques. Can a student join a bachelor's course at CCSU Meerut without a CUET-UG score?
Ans. That depends on the programme. Self-financed courses such as BA Hons, BSc Hons, BCom Hons, and BBA require a CUET-UG score, but a set of older government-aided courses continues to select students purely on Class 12 marks. Whichever route applies, the application itself is filed on the CCSU Samarth portal at ccsuniversityadm.samarth.edu.in once CUET-UG results have been announced.
Ques. How much does an engineering degree cost at this university?
Ans. Four years of B.Tech come to INR 3,69,000. That figure is built from INR 96,000 in the first year and INR 91,000 for each of the second, third, and fourth years. Students joining through lateral entry finish their 3 year course at INR 90,000. Being a government university, it levies neither donation nor management quota charges.
Ques. Are paid or management seats sold at CCSU Meerut?
Ans. They are not. Management quota does not exist in any programme of this state government university. Engineering seats are allotted entirely through UPTAC counselling on the basis of JEE Main rank, and undergraduate seats go by CUET-UG merit. Outside the official counselling route, there is no way to purchase a seat.
Ques. What amount is charged while submitting the admission form?
Ans. Merit-based admissions carry a form fee of INR 600 for General, OBC, and EWS applicants, reduced to INR 300 for SC, ST, and PwD applicants. Programmes filled through the university's own entrance test, namely LLM, MEd, BPEd, and MPEd, work on a different slab: INR 700 for General and OBC candidates and INR 500 for those in the SC and ST categories.
Ques. How are LLM seats filled at the university?
Ans. Through a dedicated LLM entrance test that CCSU Meerut conducts for its 2 year master's programme in law, with registration handled at entrance.ccsuforms.in. To be eligible, a candidate needs an LLB of either 3 or 5 year duration from a BCI-recognized institute, scoring at least 49.5% in the General and EWS categories or 48% if from SC or ST. The course fee across 2 years stands at INR 85,260.
Ques. Do engineering colleges affiliated to CCSU follow a separate admission route?
Ans. No, the process is identical. Whether the seat is on the CCSU campus or at an affiliated institute such as SCRIET Meerut, the candidate has to take JEE Main and then register at uptac.admissions.nic.in. UPTAC allots seats after weighing JEE Main rank together with category and UP domicile status.
Ques. Who qualifies to register for a doctoral programme here?
Ans. A relevant postgraduate degree carrying at least 55% marks is the base requirement, relaxed to 50% for SC and ST candidates. Applicants who have already cleared UGC-NET or CSIR-NET skip the CCSU PhD entrance test altogether and go straight to the Research Advisory Committee interview, whereas everyone else must first pass that entrance examination.
Ques. Is the university open to applicants domiciled outside Uttar Pradesh?
Ans. Yes, every programme accepts applications from other states. What changes is the reservation benefit, since the UP quotas of OBC 27%, SC 21%, EWS 10%, and ST 2% extend only to UP domicile holders, leaving non-UP applicants to compete in the unreserved pool. In UPTAC engineering counselling too, state quota seats go first to UP domicile candidates, and remaining seats are then offered to those from outside the state.
