DSMNRU Admission Process 2026

Applications for DSMNRU courses are completed online. Selection mainly depends on entrance-test performance. CUET applies to UG and PG courses, JEE scores are considered for B.Tech, and GATE scores are used for M.Tech.

DSMNRU UG Admission 2026

Applicants seeking admission to a UG programme must have passed Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate marks. CUET UG scores form the basis of selection for UG courses, except B.Tech, for which the university considers JEE performance.

UG entrance tests and selection

  • CUET UG scores are accepted for admission to undergraduate courses.
  • B.Tech applicants are chosen according to their JEE scores.
  • Selection is based on the marks secured in the entrance test required for the chosen programme.

DSMNRU PG Admission 2026

A student must have completed graduation with at least 50% aggregate marks to apply for a PG programme. CUET PG is accepted for postgraduate admission, while M.Tech selection is based on GATE scores.

PG entrance tests and selection

  • CUET PG is used for admission to postgraduate courses.
  • M.Tech applicants are selected using their GATE performance.
  • The university considers the marks obtained in the relevant entrance examination when preparing selections.

DSMNRU Admission Process FAQs

Ques. What information does DSMNRU use to create its selection list?

Ans. DSMNRU checks whether each applicant meets the qualifications set for the chosen course. It then publishes the names of students selected under the admission criteria in a merit list on the university website.

Ques. Does a CUET applicant have to select only one DSMNRU programme while submitting the form?

Ans. No. CUET permits students to choose multiple courses in the application form. A student admitted to DSMNRU must, however, select one course to continue their studies.

DSMNRU Cutoff FAQs

Ques. What admission option remains if an applicant falls below the DSMNRU cutoff?

Ans. An applicant who does not meet the DSMNRU cutoff cannot take admission through the regular selection process. If seats remain vacant, the university may hold an open counselling round in which students can apply.

Ques. Is a CUET PG English score of 50 sufficient for DSMNRU admission?

Ans. A score of 50 may not qualify a general-category applicant. In the previous cutoff trend, the final-round MA English cutoff was 54 for the general category, 33 for OBC, and 15 for SC. A student from a reserved category may therefore be eligible to apply.
