UPRTOU Admissions 

The Admissions at Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University for the majority of the courses is on the scores of the last qualifying exams.

• For undergraduate courses like BBA, BCA, B.Com, BLIS, and for diploma courses which are offered across various streams, the candidates can directly get admission in the university based on the performance in 10+2 from the recognized board.
• Whereas in case of postgraduate courses like M.Com, M.Sc, MJ, MLIS and also the postgraduate diploma courses the minimum eligibility criteria for the candidate to get selected is that they should have cleared the last qualifying exam or graduated in the specified or similar field from a recognized university or board.
• For courses like B.Ed, the final selection is on the basis of a combination of merit-based and entrance exams. The candidates are required to meet the cut-off set by the university entrance exam.
• MBA and MCA, the admission is based on the entrance exam conducted by the university.
• Also in the case of MBA, if the candidates have appeared for national level exams like CAT, XAT, CMAT etc they will be offered admission on the basis of the cutoff set by the university for these national level entrance exams.

How to Apply?

The admission procedure at Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University [UPRTOU] is online.

• The candidates have to apply for the course through the official website of the university where the application forms are available for all courses.
• Fill in the application form with authentic details as the same will be cross-checked with documents at the time of enrollment to the course.
• Make the payment and submit the application form
• Save the copy of a form, payment details, and E-payment challans for future reference as this will be required to obtain the study material along with the Id card post admissions.
• The documents required for verification include mark sheets of 10th and 12th, one identity proof like Aadhar card, admission form along payment receipt. In case of post graduate courses the students are required to share their mark sheets of graduation as well as the result of the entrance exam( if taken)
• The admission is finalised against the course on the basis of eligibility either merit or entrance exam based.

UPRTOU Placements

The university has a dedicated placement cell that diligently works towards providing decent placements to all of its students by conducting placement drives. The few recruiters who have selected students from the University include TCS, Amazon, ABP News, American Express.

The annual average salary offered to selected students is INR 3,00,000, while the highest annual package bagged by one of the MBA students was INR 15,00,000.

UPRTOU Scholarships

The scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit as well as on the basis of the economic needs of the girl students who have taken admission in the Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University.

The university grants UPRTOU Allahabad scholarship to girls who have passed class 12th but left their education incomplete due to financial problems. It provides an opportunity for them to complete their higher education in the university’s graduate diploma and master courses.

The eligibility criteria for getting a scholarship are as follows

• The candidate should have a decent score of 60% marks in both high school and intermediate level.
• The candidate should be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh.
• The annual income of the parents of the candidate is not more than INR 2,00,000.

The eligible candidates will get a minimum annual scholarship of INR 25,000.

UPRTOU Facilities 

The following is the facility available to students who have enrolled themselves in any of the programs offered by the university

• Study centre- the Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University is an open learning university.It has regional centres 12 and 800 study centres across the state of Uttar Pradesh which provides assistance to students for better education. The students can reach out to the nearest study centre for any queries or facility required.
• Study Material- The students of the university are provided the study material, they can access all the study material related to their course either on the website or from any of the study centers located in the state of Uttar Pradesh by sharing the enrollment number with the coordinator at the study centre.
• Infrastructure- The university’s headquarter at prayagraj has three campuses namely Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. The Ganga campus has an administrative block and guest house, The Yamuna has a residential block and regional centre, whereas the Saraswati campus has an academic block and auditorium.
• Other Facilities- In all the university has a well-equipped computer lab, Audio-Visual lab, yoga and fitness centre, bank, post office facilities and wifi facility.
• Library- the university has a three-storey library located in its main campus of prayagraj. With around 44,387 volumes of books, 92 learned journals, 12 periodicals, 5 newspapers it is serving not only students but also the faculty and staff members in order to gain and retain knowledge. The university is also a part of DELNET.

UPRTOU Faculty 

The Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University has different schools across various streams namely Humanities, Education, Management, Health science, computer and information system, Science, social science. Each School has excellent faculty. Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh is the 13th chancellor of the University, with a rich experience of 32 years in education he has supervised 16 PhD students. Along with him are the faculty of different schools amongst whom 52 are PhDs in their area of specializations are constantly working on uplifting the education provided by the University.
