Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture (SHUATS) was formerly known as Allahabad Agricultural Institute. It is a state Agricultural university in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh and was established in 1910. It was deemed a university in 2000 and was accredited with a CGPA of 3.14 on 4 Point scale. It received an ‘A’ grade from the NAAC in 2018 and is approved by UGC, ICAR and ICFRE. The university ranked 56 under NIRF 2020 for Management.

SHUATS offer courses in Engineering, Commerce, Science Management and Pharmacy. Some popular courses are MBA, MSc, BSc, BCA, BPT, BBA. There are various colleges that come under the university.

SHUATS Allahabad Admissions

Admissions to the courses are done based on the candidates merit and their performance in the entrance exams.

How to Apply?

  1. First of all, candidates need to register for the entrance exam conducted by the university i.e. JEST exam. Fill out all information that is required and make the payment.
  2. Then you have to give the exam at the examination centre that is allotted to you by the university.
  3. Then the result will be announced.
  4. You will get admission in undergraduate courses only on the basis of merit in the JEST exam.
  5. This admission will be based on FIFO (First In First Out) basis.
  6. Some of the post-graduation like MBA do have to pass an interview round, so their merit will be based on the composite score of both written test and interview.
  7. Then you have to visit the university for counselling to get admission
