SHUATS offers MSc as its flagship programme, and B.Tech is also one of its popular courses. The MSc total course fee ranges from INR 38,000 to 1.84 Lakhs, while the B.Tech total course fee ranges from INR 3.38 to 5.7 Lakhs, based on the chosen specialization.

The university gives admission through merit and entrance scores. It accepts JEE Main, CAT, MAT, GRE, GATE, NET etc., along with its own entrance test, SOET. Counselling is held in 2 ways: merit based offline counselling for SOET candidates, which is compulsory for Agriculture and Pharmacy applicants, and open online counselling for applicants from departments other than Agriculture and Pharmacy. For MSc admission, students must be graduates in any discipline.

Applications are accepted only in online mode. Candidates can register at shuats.org/appform/login.aspx.

SHUATS UG Admission 2026

At the undergraduate level, SHUATS runs full time courses of 3 to 5 years. The yearly UG course fee ranges from INR 2,000 to 1.5 Lakhs, depending on the specialization. B.Tech is a full time 4 year programme, and its total fee is INR 3.38 to 5.7 Lakhs.

SHUATS Admission Process

SHUATS takes applications for all courses online. After registering at shuats.org/appform/login.aspx, applicants either register for SOET or upload documents and choose their preferred course.

The admission route changes by department. Agriculture and Pharmacy applicants go through SOET based counselling, while other applicants use open online counselling. Seats are allotted through offline counselling based on SOET score or through online counselling. Selected students must report for document verification and pay the admission fee to confirm their allotted seat.

Student Perception on SHUATS Admission

Ayush Tripathi, a B.Tech alumnus, described the SHUATS faculty as mostly knowledgeable and supportive. He also mentioned remedial classes for students who need extra help. Shefali, a BSc alumnus, found the academic schedule quite hectic and did not have a positive view of the university's strict attendance policy.

SHUATS Admission FAQs

Ques. Does SHUATS use one form for SOET and open counselling?

Ans. Yes. SHUATS uses a single application form for all applicants. After choosing a course, students are directed either to download the SOET admit card or to upload their testimonials. SOET is required only for students applying to Agriculture and Pharmacy courses.

Ques. How does counselling take place at SHUATS?

Ans. SHUATS uses both modes. Applicants for courses outside Agriculture and Pharmacy attend online counselling. Students applying to Agriculture and Pharmacy courses attend offline counselling after SOET.

Ques. Are seats reserved for Christian students at SHUATS?

Ans. Yes. SHUATS reserves 50% of the total seats for Christian students. The university also releases separate Christian merit lists based on SOET, its own entrance examination.

Ques. Does SHUATS accept ICAR All India Entrance scores?

Ans. Yes. In Agriculture department courses, SHUATS fills 15% of UG seats and 25% of PG seats through the entrance examination conducted by ICAR.

Ques. Can students take SHUATS SOET from their own home?

Ans. Yes. SOET is conducted in 2 formats: a Remotely Proctored Online Test that can be taken through a personal desktop or laptop, and a Computer Based Test held only at selected test centres.

Ques. Is final admission given online in SHUATS open counselling?

Ans. No. After uploading testimonials, eligible applicants receive provisional admission. They must then pay the submission fee through the online portal within the next 48 hours to confirm provisional admission. Final admission is given only after document verification before the new academic session begins.

My 4 Year experience at SHUATS

What I Liked

A college campus is very good and large, infrastructure what you can say is on the average side and faculty is well qualified to teach and campus life is lovely
Very nice experience worth memorable experience you can say basically the 4 year teaches you so much in life.

What I didn’t like

The college doesn't provide placement opportunity and even internship opportunity as well along with that the infrastructure of the college is not well managed and developed and some faculty are very lazy like they are doing some government job but the campus is good but need regular maintainance
Average experience because of the things i have mentioned is not good in the college

Remarks:

The place of the college is good and the course it is offering is very nice, along with that the college is renowned and old. there is not any written test or interview neither any group discussion conducted for admission in this college

Remarks:

The college had a good name and had supportive teaching faculty. The college is situated near the Sangam river and had all the transport facilities nearby. I did not face any written test or interview as i got admitted by my 12th merit.

Love for SHUATS

What I Liked

The campus is very beautiful and very safe for both girls and boys
Infrastructure are also very beautiful because of buildings are from britishers time

What I didn’t like

Any I say there is no dislike about the college, infrastructure, faculty and campus
But our college can do that... No outsider should be entered till they have valid reason

Remarks:

The factors that made me choose this college is:- It's basically famous college for agriculture studies It's working from last 120 years Great environment Full of greenery Campus area are very big. Campus is very safe for both girls and boys

What I Liked

They have a pond near agriculture department which can be good
Our department is better than other departments.

What I didn’t like

Bathrooms are not in a good state and at times difficult for us to use them.
Water tanks are not clean enough and are unhygienic

Remarks:

I gave CUET exam and I also chose this university as I live in the same city and it is easier for me this way. Taking Admission here is very easy. You don't have to run much for admission. Even late admissions are accepted.

Remarks:

Skilled professors, excellent exposure with well equipped lab facilities. This college has elaborated all concepts and new researches currently Going on this field . It is almost celebrating it's 150 years anniversary. The college for BSc(hons)Agriculture is Naini College of Agriculture , Naini prayagraj city Uttar Pradesh.

What I Liked

Campus is very good for students who like open environment
Faculty is also good they help us in decision making

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure is very old they have to upgrade a bit
Interference of locals are more they have to work on that thing

There is entrance test which is of college only. There are several good and bad things in college like they treat Christian students differently and others differently they have options for changing the stream from there own It is very easy to take admission in this college through management

What I Liked

It's lush greenery and amenities throughout the campus
Facilities and ease of access to have them. Anything you want is available around the university.

What I didn’t like

Vehicle not allowed in a most of the time.
Central canteen pricing it's quite High but quality is good I guess

Remarks:

I chose this college as it close to my house and comes under my financial budget. There are some university based minimum criteria to join some specific course and written test but they vary degree to degree. Mostly now falls under open online counseling.

What I Liked

Infrastructure is so good it's give you fresh vibes in the morning because they have so many trees inside the college.
Faculty is so good the teachers are intelligent and helpful.

What I didn’t like

The placement sell of the college is lezy.
They take very high fees for the course like bcom.

Remarks:

I have choose this college because it is very close to my home like 5 min of walking distance. You don't have to give any type of entrance exam for the Bcom course. They takes direct admissions for the Bcom course.
