If you’re preparing for nift there are 3 tests you have to cover, first is cat (creative ability test) with gat ( general ability test) where maths and GK and English comes and then if you clear both of them then you give situation test where you have to create a 3d project and on that basis you get your rank

There are mainly 3 exams CAT creative ability test GAT general ability test And one situation test after you passes in CAT And GAT CAT includes question based on drawing solving it creativily And GAT includes questions from maths English general knowledge and reasoning

No there were no group discussion or interviews. We give exam in 3 phases 1st CAT(Creative Ability Test) where we answer questions by drawing creatively. 2nd GAT(General Ability Test) here they test our general knowledge, mathematics, reasoning, english etc. After that we git shortlisted for next round that is Situation test. Where we have to answer the questions by creating 3D models on the spot within the material they provide.

Admission process includes a GAT (General Ability Test) exam and you get in based on your national rank. No gd or pi. NIFT is the oldest most reputed fashion institute, the curriculum is modern day relevant and the faculties are very experienced with industry relations.

You can only be a part of the situation test if you have passed the written test. A situation test is one situation given to you and you have to make something out of the situation like a solution.

After clearing them you've to appear for a situation test and then counseling and allotment of the department are held.
