Admission process includes a GAT (General Ability Test) exam and you get in based on your national rank. No gd or pi. NIFT is the oldest most reputed fashion institute, the curriculum is modern day relevant and the faculties are very experienced with industry relations.
All faculties are highly educated, experienced and well versed with the industry norms. They are highly skilled and supportive in all your endeavours. Teaching methods are up-to-date with practical assignments. There is a mid term, end term followed by the final jury exam (which is a presentation in front of industry experts).
Internships are provided mainly in fabric mfg companies like Vardhman , jaincord textiles, Jindal etc. Apparel mfg exports houses like PGIL, Shahi exports, Laguna clothing etc. and Retail companies like ABFRL, Tata Trent etc. Internships can be with or without stipend however, final year internship is mostly with stipend. Projects are assigned by the company in most cases.
Placements and internship opportunities are shared with the students by the college placement cell. However placements are not guaranteed. Some mandatory internships are there, rest internships are always appreciated.
Annual fees of approximately 3L - approx 1.5L per semester. This includes tuition, lab, library fee and medical and insurance. There is a saarthak scholarship for economically weaker section that covers up to 100% of the tuition fees based on your annual income.
There is an annual fest called Spectrum with multiple events and performances. Library is vast and open for all, contains all major fashion related resources. Most classrooms are well built with modern equipment’s. Specified labs for technical testing, material exploration and sewing are available with specialised equipment. There are multiple clubs and college societies that organise all major college events. Canteen is also present which is open during entire working hours.
Hostel is available only for women and rooms are limited. However the rooms are spacious, twin sharing, shared washrooms and modern facilities. You can register along with your admission only. Pgs or flats can be found easily nearby.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
