Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go Anusandhan Sansthan – [DUVASU] is a state University based in Mathura. It was established by the Uttar Pradesh Government on 25 October 2001. 

It is the first and one of its kind being the fourth institute in the country. It has immensely contributed to the research by meeting national and international benchmarks in animal husbandry and is one of the premier veterinary colleges in the country. It was ranked 62 by NIRF for providing a variety of courses and producing a significant number of graduates, postgraduates, and research scholars. 

  • The college offers B.V.Sc and A.H., M.V.Sc., and PhD programs in veterinary science and animal husbandry. It also offers B.Sc., M.Sc., and PhD in industrial microbiology and biotechnology. 
  • In addition to these courses, a few diploma programs are also offered by the college such as Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacist and Diploma in Livestock Extension Office.

DUVASU Scholarship

  • B.V.Sc. & A.H – University merit scholarships are awarded to three students from each B.V.Sc. & A.H. professional year based on their scholastic merit performance in their respective classes. Also, the tuition fee for these students is waived. The students seeking admission through VCI are eligible for the National Talent Scholarship of ICAR at Rs.3000/- pm., provided they are from the outside state.
  • M.V.Sc. - A scholarship of Rs. 1000/- pm is awarded to one student in each Department based on merit. Also, all the students seeking admission through ICAR common entrance test are eligible for the National Talent Scholarship of ICAR @ Rs.5000/- pm, provided they are from the outside state.
  • Stipend of the Social Welfare Department – Students belonging to various constituent colleges/institutes of the University are eligible to receive monthly stipends and fee refunds as per the rules of the government of Uttar Pradesh.
