Agriculture University Jodhpur is a state university established on 14th September 2013 by the Government of Rajasthan under Agriculture University, Jodhpur Act 21 of 2013 to focus on the holistic development of arid and semi-arid regions of the state. It is approved and accredited by ICAR i.e. Indian Council Of Agricultural Research. It offers courses like B.Sc. Hons. (Agriculture), Diploma in Agriculture, M.Sc. in Agriculture, and Ph.D. Students can get admission to these courses by qualifying entrance exams like JET i.e. Joint Entrance Test, Pre-PG Entrance Exam, and Pre-Ph.D. Exams. Agriculture University offers M.Sc (Ag) in Agronomy, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, and Entomology. The first-year fees of M.Sc. Science in Agriculture is INR 10,960. Agriculture University or AU does not provide any scholarships to students as the fees for every course are very nominal. But the students who are not capable to bear the fee charges can take loans at a lower interest from Government or Private Bank. AU does not provide hostel facilities, so the students need to stay in PG. Sports grounds and equipment are available for candidates interested in cricket, football, and volleyball.
