WBUTTEPA Admission Dates

The dates for admission into the Integrated B.Ed has been released by the institute and are mentioned in the table below:

WBUTTEPA UG Admission 2022

The institute offers B.Ed and integrated B.Ed in various honors subjects. B.Ed is a 3-year program, whereas the integrated B.Ed is a 4-year program that can extend for a maximum of 6 years. 

The interested candidates can go through the eligibility and selection criteria and apply directly through the institute's official website. 

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for B.Ed and Integrated B.Ed courses:

B.Ed: 

• The candidates should have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
• They should have a bachelor's degree in the relevant subject or should have studied that subject during their graduation.

Integrated B.Ed (BA B.Ed, BSc B.Ed)

• The candidates should have passed Higher Secondary/ 10+2 level/ equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade. The ST, SC, and PWD category candidates can have 5% relaxation 
• Students from Vocational courses are not eligible to apply for B.Ed courses.
• The candidates can choose the subject as Core Subject (Hons) which they have studied in their Higher Secondary/ 10+2/ equivalent.
• The candidates who are engaged in any other course of studies, job, full-time research work, etc are not eligible to apply for this course.

Selection Criteria

• The admission into the integrated B.Ed courses is based on merit, determined by the percentage obtained in the honors subject applied for the Higher Secondary/ 10+2 level/ equivalent examination.
• In case, the marks of the applicants are identical in the preferred honors subjects, then aggregate marks obtained in the higher secondary/ 10+2 level/ equivalent exam are considered.

WBUTTEPA PG Admission 2022

The institute offers M.Ed and PG diploma courses in education and sports education. There are about 50 seats for M.Ed, of which 30% seats will be allotted for Language Group, 30% for Science & Mathematics Groups, and 40% for Social Science Group. The ratio of Home University students and other university students will be 80:20.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates taking admission into M. Ed should have scored at least 50% marks (5% relaxation for ST/SC/ 40% disabled candidates) or an equivalent grade in any of the following courses:

• B.Ed
• BA B.Ed, BSc B.Ed
• B.El.Ed
• D.El.Ed with an undergraduate degree 

Selection Criteria

• The candidates will be selected for M.Ed on the basis of merit, i.e, the marks obtained by the candidates in the Board/ Council/ University examination passed by them.
• The deputed teachers serving in substantive posts in Teachers Training Institutions will be given preference and will be selected on the basis of the length of continuous teaching experience.

WBUTTEPA Research Admission 2022

The institute offers research courses like M.Phil and Ph.D. All the details about admission in these research courses are mentioned in the sections below:

Eligibility 

• The minimum eligibility required for both M.Phil and Ph.D. is that the candidates should have passed MA in Education or M.Ed with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks.
• The candidates who have completed integrated B.Ed are also eligible to apply for M.Phil.
• There is a 5% relaxation for the ST/SC/ OBC/ PwD candidates.

Selection Criteria 

• For admission into Ph.D., it is mandatory for the candidates to appear for exams like NET/SET (West Bengal).
• The selection will be based on NET/SET score, academic history (scores in MA/ M.Ed), and interview scores.

WBUTTEPA Application Process 2022

For UG and PG admissions, Candidates can follow the below steps to complete the application process.

• The candidates will have to visit the online application portal on the official website.
• Candidates can start filling the application form with academic and personal details and all the fields marked with a (*)are mandatory.
• After filling out the form, candidates will have to upload all the required documents.
• Submit the application and the application I.D. and Password will be created.
• Then the candidates applying for UG courses will have to pay the application fees of INR 600 for general/ OBC and INR 350 for ST/SC/PwD, by visiting https://www.onlinesbi.com/.
• Candidates applying for PG courses can submit the form and pay application fees of INR 750 and INR 450 for ST/SC/PWD candidates. 

To apply for the PhD course, the candidates should follow the below steps:

• Download and print the application form from the official website.
• Fill out the form with a photo and signature and scan it.
• Make a payment of INR 1000 or INR 500 (for ST/SC/OBC) through the payment link that will be provided.
• Send the scanned application form and proof of payment, along with the scanned copy of testimonials indicated in the application form and admission notice to the email address mentioned below:
