SVSU Admission Dates 2027

Admission to most undergraduate courses at SVSU is based on CUET UG or HSTES scores. JEE Main is another accepted route for B.Tech. The following schedule for the 2027 cycle is tentative.

SVSU Courses and Fees

SVSU provides more than 70 undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and doctoral programmes. The Government of Haryana supports the university’s skill-development role, which helps keep fees subsidised across different study levels.

The B.Voc and diploma courses use the NSQF credit system and support the National Education Policy principle of multiple entry and exit. A B.Voc student may leave after one year with a Diploma, after two years with an Advanced Diploma or after three years with a Bachelor’s degree.

SVSU Admission Process

SVSU uses entrance scores or qualifying-examination merit according to the chosen course. B.Tech applicants can use JEE Main, CUET UG or HSTES scores, while many other undergraduate programmes consider CUET UG or Class 12 marks. Postgraduate selection may use CUET PG, HSTES PG or an institutional test.

1. Choose a programme and check its academic eligibility and accepted selection route.
2. For B.Tech, submit a valid JEE Main, CUET UG or HSTES score. SVSU does not hold a separate college-level B.Tech entrance test.
3. For B.Voc, BBA, BCA, B.Sc and most other undergraduate courses, use the CUET UG route or the applicable Class 12 merit process.
4. For MBA, M.Tech and other postgraduate courses, apply through CUET PG, HSTES PG or the institutional test specified for the programme.
5. Seat allotment is completed on merit according to the relevant admission route. Haryana domicile applicants receive preference for state-quota seats under DTE Haryana rules.

B.Tech Admission at SVSU

SVSU offers B.Tech in 7 specialisations: AI and ML, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Smart Manufacturing and VLSI Design. Selection is merit based through JEE Main, CUET UG or HSTES, also referred to as the Haryana State Common Entrance Test.

B.Tech applicants must meet these conditions:

• They must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• General-category applicants need at least 45% in aggregate.
• A valid score from the current JEE Main, CUET UG or HSTES cycle is required.
• Haryana domicile applicants receive preference for state-quota seats according to DTE Haryana norms.

B.Voc, BBA, BCA and Other UG Admissions

CUET UG scores or Class 12 merit are used for B.Voc, BBA, BCA, B.Sc and most other undergraduate admissions. Most B.Voc courses do not require an entrance score. Their selection is based on Class 12 marks and a personal interview. These programmes combine academic study with training for specific occupations and industries.

MBA, M.Tech and PG Admissions

MBA and M.Tech selection considers CUET PG, HSTES PG or an institutional test. MBA applicants need a bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate. M.Tech requires a relevant B.Tech degree with 55% marks. For MCA, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree that included Mathematics as a subject.

SVSU Placements

Recent SVSU batches recorded placement rates ranging from 82% to 95%. During the 2024 placement season, 145 students secured jobs, including 122 students from undergraduate programmes and 23 students from postgraduate programmes. The UG average package stood at INR 2.20 LPA, while the PG median package was INR 3.12 LPA. More than 100 companies took part in campus recruitment during 2023-24.

Recruiters at SVSU include HDFC Bank, Sandhar, JBM, IQVIA, EPL, Rentickle and SKH. Manufacturing and engineering employers from the NCR industrial belt provide many of the core engineering opportunities. IT and BFSI recruiters mainly hire students from BCA, B.Tech in CSE or AI and ML, MBA and BBA.

SVSU Rankings

SVSU participates in NIRF and is ranked among India’s government skill universities. It secured the national position of #3 in the NIRF Skill University 2025 category. The institution also submitted its information under the NIRF Overall category in 2026.

Established in 2016 as India’s first dedicated government skill university, SVSU is a pioneer in the skills-based university segment. Its #3 NIRF position places it among the country’s top three skill universities for 2025.

SVSU Campus and Infrastructure

SVSU has an 83-acre campus at Dudhola in Haryana’s Palwal district. Delhi, Faridabad and Gurugram are within commuting distance. Campus facilities include academic blocks, engineering workshops, skill laboratories and vocational training spaces designed for the NSQF dual-education system. B.Voc, diploma and B.Tech curricula include industry-supported practical training through on-campus and off-campus internships.

A central library, computer centres and seminar halls serve undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students. The campus is located in the NCR industrial corridor near manufacturing units, IT parks and logistics hubs, which supports training and recruitment for engineering and skill-based courses. Students comparing institutions in the Haryana NCR region may consider SVSU alongside J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA Faridabad, and Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), Faridabad. Their principal differences are listed below.

SVSU has the lowest listed fee structure in this comparison and is Haryana’s only dedicated skill university. J.C. Bose YMCA has a longer government engineering history and holds NAAC A accreditation. MRIIRS provides a wider selection of programmes as a private institution and has private-sector industry connections.
