KNRUHS admissions are based on merit in NEET-linked entrance exams. The university handles centralised online counselling for 85% state-quota seats. The 15% All India Quota seats are handled by MCC or AACCC, depending on the course stream.
Students applying for MBBS and BDS under KNRUHS must meet these conditions:
The counselling process starts with KNRUHS preparing the Telangana state merit rank from NEET scores. Students then register online, complete document verification at assigned helpline centres, fill choices, receive seat allotment, pay the fee, and report to the allotted college.
Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal, Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, and Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad are among the top government medical colleges under KNRUHS. For General Category students in the Telangana state merit list, these colleges usually close between 1,000 and 5,000 in NEET UG rank. Other government colleges under KNRUHS generally close between 10,000 and 40,000 for General Category students, based on the college.
Admission to AYUSH UG courses is also through NEET UG. KNRUHS conducts state-quota allotment, while AACCC manages AIQ AYUSH seats. For PG AYUSH courses such as MD Ayurveda, MD Homoeopathy, and MD Unani, AIAPGET is used for AIQ seats and KNRUHS counselling is used for state-quota seats.
MD and MS admissions in allopathy use NEET PG scores. KNRUHS conducts counselling for 85% state-quota PG seats, and MCC manages the 15% AIQ. MDS seats are filled through NEET MDS scores. For the current cycle, KNRUHS kept MDS registration open till 25 August 2026, and counselling is now in progress.
DM and M.Ch super-specialty admissions at eligible KNRUHS-affiliated super-specialty hospitals in Telangana are based on NEET SS scores.
B.Sc Nursing admission is based on 10+2 PCB marks and KNRUHS state counselling. B.Sc Nursing 2026 registration reopened in September 2026. BPT and B.Sc MLT also follow the state-counselling route, with PCB eligibility at the 10+2 level.
KNRUHS-affiliated courses mainly lead to licensed healthcare careers instead of regular campus placements. MBBS students become eligible for NMC registration after completing the one-year compulsory rotatory internship. Many graduates then prepare for NEET PG for MD/MS courses, while others begin work in government or private medical practice.
BDS graduates can register through the DCI and either apply for MDS through NEET MDS or start private dental practice. AYUSH graduates register with the relevant state boards and may work in private practice, government AYUSH services, or pursue PG studies through AIAPGET. Nursing and allied health sciences graduates from affiliated colleges work in government hospitals, corporate hospital chains, and private clinics across Telangana and South India.
| Career Stage | Pathway | Typical Compensation |
|---|---|---|
| MBBS Internship | Compulsory rotating internship at the attached teaching hospital | INR 15,000 to INR 20,000 per month stipend |
| Government Bond Service | Rural or PHC posting for 1 to 2 years under government-quota obligation | INR 50,000 to INR 70,000 per month |

Read Full ReviewI always wanted to become a doctor, it was never parents pressure. So yes, I'm trying to achieve my dream. The faculty is highly qualified with teaching experience of more that 20 years. There is wide use of ppts and instruments to teach, practicals are held very frequently and almost everyday. Exams level of difficulty honestly depends on how you study, the exams are once a week or thrice a month depending upon the department and practicals held.
Everything depends in CV, it should have certificates and good passing marks of every year. Good certifications from authorised places give alot of placement opportunities. Usually the packages are very less, depending upon the recruites as well. We cannot expect more from internships. My plans after getting the degree is to do post graduation and specialty of my interest and then settle.
Read Full ReviewInitially before joining, I didn't have any basic knowledge of the course after the college admission it there was an induction program conducted that helped me a lot about the course and all my fears went away tuition fee was 65000 and then I got a scholarship if I 40000 rupees on eligibility
The job placements are unexpectedly fewer only outside the campus jobs are available no one from the other side comes and conducts the placements the average package is usually a minimum of 50000 and the highest will be around 5 lakhs per month can keep the hospital or clinic.
