The story of canara

What I Liked

Campus, canteen, faculties, infrastructure, the roads for the campus and security.

What I didn’t like

Exams, uucms portal and the fees payment through online mode

Placement Experience:

There will be JOB-FAIR in the 6th sem. Where so many companies come to our college. Many interviews will be provided by the job people. And many people will be selected for the job. Last time 50 students were selected for different kinds of jobs offered by different companies.

Internships Opportunities:

No, I did not have any internship as we are in 1st year, the internship programs will be in 3rd year. So there will be an internship facility in 3rd year for all the students on the campus itself with seminars.

All you need to know about Canara college

What I Liked

The college does give a little freedom to the student's such as Mobile phones are allowed in campus as they would be very useful
Regular cultural events and fests provide a platform for students to showcase their talents and engage in creative activities.
A robust network of alumni who actively contribute to the college’s growth and support current students through mentoring and networking opportunities.
Emphasis on community service and social responsibility through various outreach programs and initiatives.

What I didn’t like

Parking space might be limited, causing inconvenience for students and staff who commute by personal vehicles
Some students may find that certain courses have large class sizes, potentially affecting the quality of personalized attention from instructors.
While the college has modern infrastructure, some facilities may be in need of updates or maintenance to match the highest standards
In some cases, the digital infrastructure such as Wi-Fi connectivity and online learning platforms may not meet the expectations of tech-savvy students.

Placement Experience:

The college attracts a range of companies from various sectors such as IT, banking, finance, education, and manufacturing. On-campus recruitment drives are held regularly, featuring both multinational companies and reputed Indian firms. The college facilitates internships with well-known organizations, giving students practical experience and exposure to industry practices.Collaborations with various industries help in providing students with real-world learning experiences through internships.

Internships Opportunities:

I personally have not opted for any internships.The college does provide intership opportunity to students really interested and if they get selected.They have their own eligibility criteria which one should be eligible to apply for.
