There is no properly managed placement unit in the college, and about 70% of students opt for higher studies after their degree. Personally, I will be pursuing post graduation after completion of my degree, after which I'll start preparing for UGC NET.
There were no GD/PI, Interviews or tests for admission in this college. The admission process was quite smooth. For economics honours, particularly, if a candidate has about 70-73% if they're from wb board(given they had mathematics in their 12th), or about 75-78% if from ISC or CBSE, they can expect a confirmed admission in Economics hons. Me personally, I had three factors for choosing this college- 1)since I did not have exceptional marks, and 2) due to my family's lower middle class income status, I decided to go for this college. The other main factor that assured my admission here was, the position of this college. It's situated right outside of Shyambazar Metro! Also, Bus is very accessible from here as well. Baghbazar railway station, too, is about 12 minutes walking distance from the college. And the ferry ghat is about 13 minutes walking as well. So, those are the factors that helped me decide to go for this college.
