Eligibility Criteria For PhD In Agronomy Admission 2025

The following are the eligibility criteria for PhD admission at University Of Calcutta in Agronomy:

  • Master's degree in Agronomy with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade "B" in UGC 7-point scale.
  • 5% relaxation (from 55% to 50%) for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled candidates.
  • NET/GATE qualified or DST INSPIRE Fellowship holders are exempt from the Ph.D. entrance test.
  • Entrance Test: Minimum 50% marks required in the entrance test to be eligible for an interview.
  • Admission follows West Bengal State Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) rules, 2013.
