Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce (SCAC) is a private autonomous college in the Deccan area of Pune, Maharashtra. It was established in 1983, is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), and has held autonomous status since 2012. UG Admission (BA and BCom)

For BA and BCom admission, students need at least 50% aggregate in Class 12 from a recognised board. BCom applicants must have studied in the Commerce or Science stream. BA is open to Arts stream students. For popular BA and BCom specialisations, recent general category merit list patterns usually place closing marks in the 85 to 90 percentage range.

PhD Admission

For PhD admission in Commerce, Economics, and Psychology, applicants need a PG degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks. UGC-NET is preferred. SCAC conducts a written entrance test and an interview. Eligible students can pursue PhD under the SPPU PhD ordinance.

SCAC Campus and Infrastructure

SCAC has a 2-acre urban campus on Senapati Bapat Road in Pune’s Deccan Gymkhana area. The campus includes a central library with more than 35,000 books and 70 periodicals, computer labs, a seminar auditorium, and sports facilities. Its location gives students access to Pune’s financial and commercial areas and the Deccan transit hub.

The college offers separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. The boys hostel fee ranges from INR 2.47 Lakhs to INR 2.95 Lakhs per year, depending on the room type.
