Hostel Facilities:

After the college admission is done mail to the hostel with the college payment receipt. The hostel fees varies from the no. of room sharing and which hostel do you prefer the fee breakup is given on the SID website. The rooms are daily cleaned by the housekeeping, we have separate washroom and bathroom attached to the room with a wash basin, we get a full length and a small and large wall mirror, 2 clothes stand, bathroom stool, mug, bucket, study table with attached drawer, chair, shelves, bed, mattress, soft board, single door cupboard with attached locker and footwear drawer, a common open shelf cupboard.

Campus Life:

There is a 3 day fest FDM in the month of January, 24 hour sketch Ethon Lakshay in the month of September and many more events of different departments in different months as Chaap, Kalpana, Shilpkatha, Ignite, Design gupshup (talk with alumni) The library has brainstorming room, spacious well ventilated, cabinet seating for privacy, a good range of books related to design. The classrooms have smart board, personal lockers, individuals separate table and chairs, work display glass cabinets. There is a playground and a basketball court, also many festivals are also celebrated in campus like Makar Sankranti, Holi, Onam, Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali, Christmas, and many more more such.

Reality check

What I Liked

Campus is located in middle of the city .
Airport is very near by which makes transportation very easy

What I didn’t like

There is class on all the Saturdays holidays are very less

Hostel Facilities:

Hostel facilities are nice.there is options for 2 sharing as well as 3 sharing. Hostel rooms are cleaned on a regular basis.there is tv pool table badminton court basketball court etc inside the hostel. Mess is average.

Campus Life:

There are many fests conducted throughout the year.FDM is one of the most important fest which of 3 days.there are many dance ,music ,literary, fashion etc. Instagram acc for the collage is very active.

Honest and balanced review of the college????

What I Liked

Campus Life is very comfortable and warm. They offer various facilities like- gym cafeteria juice center stationary general store auditorium Amphitheatre Workshops Library Pottery workshop Message General tunnel seating Etc. events are conducted very often.
Various Seminars are conducted regularly and the college is at a good location with various necessities nearby.

What I didn’t like

Hostel, there is scope for more facilities
More excursions and field trips required

Hostel Facilities:

Hostel isn't worth the expense. Very good structure and posh looking, but food quality is mediocre and the restrictions are too many to be comfortable with. Good rooms though. Bags are checked daily whenever you enter, including parcels received. And room checkings are conducted often. There are two Labrador retrievers as the hostel mascots that live in the hostel.

Campus Life:

Warm environment in campus, icebreaker events are conducted and informal get togethers happen quite often, lots of leadership and networking opportunities and various clubs and groups. There are various portfolios available too.

review of Symbiosis institute of design

What I Liked

The faculty in graphic design is outstanding . The location of campus is good as there are many good shops and malls nearby .

What I didn’t like

The campus infrastructure could be better as it’s small and unorganised.
The canteen could be better and cheaper as they keep increasing the prices every few months

Hostel Facilities:

The hostel infrastructure is good and has a good environment but the food is not that great for the price being paid . The menu has limited non veg options and doesn’t seem very healthy. The hostel is not very affordable so students tend to move out into apartments by 2nd or 3rd year such as me . The rooms are okay enough. They provide hot water at all times and WiFi 24/7 .

Campus Life:

There are multiple clubs in our college like fashion club, photography club, music club, movie club etc and the social life is decent . I wish there were more activities provided which could help with improving our portfolio. FDM is SID’s fest which is usually conducted in February. The library provides a good collection of materials related to design. Classrooms are well maintained but not great . The campus is just okay as it is quite small . There are multiple Sid Instagram pages run by students which is quite active .

Here’s why symbi design should be your choice:

What I Liked

I love the diverse student mass here. We get to learn so much about different culture and include them in our designs
The faculty is super experienced. People from iit Bombay, nid and many phd’s. They’re cooperative and friendly

Hostel Facilities:

After you’re done with the admission process you’ll be given a choice to opt for hostels. There are three girls hostels and one boys hostel. A bus shuttle service takes us to college everyday (not boys). Mess is okay jab I mean what can you expect from mess food. Maybe experience the hostel life for a year then move to a pg nearby.

Campus Life:

Campus life is amazing. Honestly wasn’t too impressed by the campus itself but the people are what makes the campus. There are many events throughout the year. Biggest one is called lakshya which is 24 hr event consisting of many activities and club events. There’s Kalpana which is a film making festival. There are events for every discipline.
