The eligibility criteria for the admission is you need to be 12th pass with minimum 50% in any stream and SID doesn't accept any other kind of design / non design exam as it conducts it's own known as SEED (everything is online) keep checking the SID portal you will get to know when will be the exam forms are out fill in then forms and you have to pay an amount of 2000 / 2500 /- after that you are been given dates for the exam select one as per your convenience. It's a 60min 60marks MCQ based test which you can give at any time of the day on the selected date. Exam contains logical reasoning, design based, basic mathematics, observational, critical thinking, general ability, general knowledge. for clearing this round you must score 40+ marks (no negative marking) after the results for the second round you have to make a portfolio and complete the task given within the given 3 days upload it on the portal after that you have an online interview scheduled.
The faculties are highly qualified they have years of work experience in teaching as well as real world corporate / government industry. 1sem we have foundation course all different specialization students together then 2nd sem onwards we have core disciplines, we get assignments which we have to submit on the given submission dates and if not you can get a backlog. Then after the sem end there is jury a panel of internal and external faculty members it's a one to one interview sort of presentation of your whole sem work and learnings with a sem end mini project assigned to you. Also 75% attendance is mandatory per subject and overall if you have below 75% in any subject and backlogs too or not you get CNG (course not granted) and you can't appear for jury for that particular course it's mentioned in your marksheet, and if your overall attendance is below 75% with backlogs then TNG (term not granted) you can't appear for exam and you will have to repeat the particular sem.
There are summer internships available from college from 2nd year onwards paid / non paid is up to you. Also if you wish to you can apply yourself for internships wherever and whenever. As per norms I can't share my personal info.
As such no eligibility criteria for placement. As per rules i can't share much details or company names but you can visit the college website there are year wise pdfs of names of companies visited for on campus placement, up till now SID has record of 100% placement with avg. package of 7-14 LPA and the highest is 29LPA.
The fees is inclusive of everything (not hostel) you don't need to pay anything extra, also there is equal fees for every Indian students no reservation / category. At the time of admission you have to pay 1st installment of 2,38,000/- + 15,000/- security deposit (refundable) and 2nd installment of 2.50,000/- before jury (exam) in month of November. The fees is same for all the 4 years no increase or decrease. There are no scholarships available.
There is a 3 day fest FDM in the month of January, 24 hour sketch Ethon Lakshay in the month of September and many more events of different departments in different months as Chaap, Kalpana, Shilpkatha, Ignite, Design gupshup (talk with alumni) The library has brainstorming room, spacious well ventilated, cabinet seating for privacy, a good range of books related to design. The classrooms have smart board, personal lockers, individuals separate table and chairs, work display glass cabinets. There is a playground and a basketball court, also many festivals are also celebrated in campus like Makar Sankranti, Holi, Onam, Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali, Christmas, and many more more such.
After the college admission is done mail to the hostel with the college payment receipt. The hostel fees varies from the no. of room sharing and which hostel do you prefer the fee breakup is given on the SID website. The rooms are daily cleaned by the housekeeping, we have separate washroom and bathroom attached to the room with a wash basin, we get a full length and a small and large wall mirror, 2 clothes stand, bathroom stool, mug, bucket, study table with attached drawer, chair, shelves, bed, mattress, soft board, single door cupboard with attached locker and footwear drawer, a common open shelf cupboard.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
