The 12th % cut off is 75% and it does not matter even if you’re lower than that. Your SEED test score matters which is the first stage of your admission process. If you get a valid score you have a portfolio review and personal interview. You’ll have to showcase your artwork and anything related to your field of study and present that in the interview. They’ll ask a few basic general knowledge questions. You’ll also get a portfolio task (eg: make a model that can be displayed on the nmacc entrance) which you’ll have to present on the interview as well.
The whole curriculum is designed wonderfully. It’s nothing like your school mindless theory exams. There are 2 semesters in a year and each semester has several different modules. In the foundation year we have 5. You have to complete assignments and you’re graded based on that. There are many group activities which have credits as well.
As I’m in my foundation year I haven’t opted for a campus internship yet. Although I do know a lot of seniors who are doing there internships right now. So I don’t worry much about getting work. But looking for stuff off campus
98% of students get placed every year. And you get tonnes of internship opportunities. It mostly depends on how good you are at socialising and upskilling. After coming here you can make connections with the industry for an easier placement
Annually we have to pay 7 lakhs if you’re opting for hostel. The tuition fees are around 4 lakhs and 3 lakhs for hostel. There’s no such other compulsory fees. Scholarships are not widely available. There are a few mentioned during our induction but honestly no proper information is provided as to how to avail them.
Campus life is amazing. Honestly wasn’t too impressed by the campus itself but the people are what makes the campus. There are many events throughout the year. Biggest one is called lakshya which is 24 hr event consisting of many activities and club events. There’s Kalpana which is a film making festival. There are events for every discipline. You have a library with a vast choice of books. You can rent 3 at a time. Follow @symbidesignofficial and @upside for more info.
After you’re done with the admission process you’ll be given a choice to opt for hostels. There are three girls hostels and one boys hostel. A bus shuttle service takes us to college everyday (not boys). Mess is okay jab I mean what can you expect from mess food. Maybe experience the hostel life for a year then move to a pg nearby.
The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
