FLAME University Admission Process

Admission decisions at FLAME University consider more than an entrance score. Depending on the programme, the university reviews the test result, academic history, written work, Statement of Purpose and personal interview.

Entrance Requirements by Programme

UG Programmes: BA, BBA, B.Sc and B.Des

Applicants complete the undergraduate process through these stages:

  • Pass 10+2 or an equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects.
  • For BBA and B.Sc, obtain at least 45% aggregate marks in Class 12.
  • Submit a FEAT score or use a valid SAT or ACT result instead.
  • Applicants submitting SAT or ACT scores do not take FEAT and move to the essay and online personal interview stages.
  • The university first reviews FEAT, SAT or ACT performance, followed by the essay and online personal interview.
  • Offers are released on a rolling basis through five admission cycles conducted from November to June.

FLAME University does not announce a fixed qualifying percentile for FEAT. The final decision reflects the complete application, including school marks, entrance performance, essay quality and the interview.

MBA and MBA (Communication Management)

The MBA selection process follows these steps:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree from a UGC-approved university with at least 50% marks.
  • Provide a score from CAT, XAT, GMAT, NMAT, MAT, CMAT, MH-CET, or PG FEAT.
  • Complete the Statement of Purpose, essay and online personal interview stages.
  • Undergo a review of the entrance result and previous academic performance.
  • Work experience can strengthen an application, but it is not compulsory.

PGPEI and M.Sc (Economics)

Selection for the 1-year PGPEI and the M.Sc (Economics) gives considerable weight to the applicant’s profile. Students submit a Statement of Purpose and online essay before attending an interview. Entrance scores support the application, but they do not decide admission on their own. Earlier academic performance and the applicant’s stated purpose are also reviewed.

PhD Programmes

A relevant master’s degree with qualifying marks is required for doctoral admission. Applicants must provide a research proposal and attend an interview with faculty members. Doctoral specialisations cover Management, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Humanities, Environmental Studies, and Data Science.
